Kantupata

Infrastructure
Kantupata is a carefully engineered botanical sanctuary fed by a sophisticated underground aqueduct system. These subterranean and above-ground canals carry mineral-rich spring water, ill-suited for human consumption, that nourish the ornamental flora year-round instead. The also feed miniature waterfalls and concealed root irrigation cisterns that store runoff.
Assets
Rest Stops
Kantupata is designed to serve as an overflowing garden paradise for the residents to relax at stone benches. It contains seasonal flowering beds of volcanic ash, shell grit and moss mulch to support fragile species and rare plants. Elevated wooden walkways meander through layered terraced alcoves to allow pedestrians to stroll over shaded ponds, hanging flowering vines and a hummingbird aviary.Tourism
Exclusivity
Visitation is tightly controlled. Only noble-blooded residents are permitted to enter Kantupata whenever they please. Anyone else can gain access through the invitation of those who have hereditary permission.Architecture
The few buildings within Kantupata are elegant and unobtrusive. They are constructed from soft pink sandstone and burnished wood that blend into their surroundings with fragrant flower-thatches and layered leaves. Vine-draped walls and delicate arches create a seamless boundary between the structures and an idealized nature.
Geography
Cusp
Nestled on the eastern slope of cusp's upper hills, the district is sheltered from strong winds by a semi-circular ridge of cliffs. These natural ramparts shield the sanctuary from harsh wind currents and encourage condensation. As the clouds drag over the ridgeline, a dawn fog blankets the district and maintains its natural humidity.Natural Resources
Plants
The district does dedicate some space to produce some medicinal moss and dye plants. However, the intended purpose remains to beautify the naturally rocky environment with orchids and other flowers that have symbolic purpose.
