Sam is a shy god whose mood and personality varies with the weather and seasons. He rarely shows himself to mortals, and is usually in the form of a watchful bird if he does. He has a kind and loving romantic relationship with Krok, who emboldens him to influence the mortal world through secret and indirect actions.
