Alphonse Afsen

Alphonse III of Guntreland, officially in the Republic of Guntreland former citizen alphonse afsen, is the titular ruler of the Kingdom of Guntreland. His actual reign is exercised exclusively on the Schwänz peninsula, considered by the Republic a rebellious part of its own territory, as well as several islands in the sovereign Congress part of Guntreland.

Alphonse III is (in)famous as a passionate hunter of all kinds of game. He is known (and, amongst the Henscherists, notorious) for his love affair with Mrs Relleren, who had influenced many of the King’s unpopular decisions and his spendthriftiness. At last, when he had lost interest in his mistress, Alphonse returned to his lawful wife, the Queen, but left the royal palace in Eustata for Mrs Relleren’s use. Alphonse’s two sons, Klarens and Ruppert, are incarcerated by the Republic, whilst his middle son Fridhold is with his father in Schwänzstadt.
