The Republic of Guntreland is a republic founded in 186 (CC), led by the Committee of Public Command.
Government
The Republic of Guntreland is governed by the National Assembly, which is comprised of 1201 representatives. All three branches of government operate through the National Assembly. Committees functioning within the National Assembly are the Committee of Public Command (the executive branch, headed by Hermann Henscher), the Committee of Public Supervision, and the Judicial Committee (headed by Wenzel Vernas). Since 200 (CC), the Republic has been in 'a permanent state of general public danger', because of which the National Assembly is in permanent session. Guntreland consists of 20 administrative regions, each headed by a Commander, appointed by the Committee of Public Command. General elections are held each complementary year of the Republican Calendar, though they are suspended due to the state of general public danger. For that reason, all local and regional authorities are appointed by the central government.
