Several idioms and loanwords from the Kadian Language still exist to this day.

  • Grammar

The Kadian Language followed a strict Subject-Object-Verb sentence structure. It had three cases and three genders for its nouns and adjectives, which had to agree within the sentence. The cases were nominative, accusative, and genitive, while the genders were masculine, feminine, and neuter. The Kadian Language also differentiated between singular and plural nouns.

    Writing System

The Kadian Language used the Kadian Cuneiform script to write. This script used wedge-shaped marks pressed in wet clay, which was later dried to preserve the writing. Later on, the clay tablets commonly used were replaced by wax tablets, and a few of the symbols changed with the format, becoming blockier.
