Sakaetare
Name means: Thing eater
Organisms that have to break down compounds or organic matter for energy. Since there is a variety of ways to attain their sustenance, Sakätare are an incredibly diverse group. Some have adapted to the extreme environments around geothermal vents and feed on the various compounds constantly expelled. Others have evolved hair structures along their membranes called cilia. The cilia will undulate the water and create a current that then funnels food particles or other organisms towards the Sakätare. There are also those with whip-like flagella that either actively hunt with their speed or avoid predation with it.
