While Everwealth may not boast the raw savagery or surreal grandeur of the southern Katharan savannahs, where fire-belching pits bubble with molten tar, flocks of bone-winged bird-lizards the size of barns prowl the skies, and the legendary walking landmass known only as the Tarrasque drags forests and valleys in its wake, it is far from a tame kingdom. What it lacks in size and spectacle, it more than compensates for in variety, cunning, and cruel surprise. For here, among the fog-thick groves, misted gullies, and fractured highlands, dwell hundreds of native species, some awe-inspiring, many venomous, and most with absolutely no business being alive. From cliff dwelling rams that can crack skulls in a single charge, to owls the size of dogs who can detect lies, Everwealth is a land teeming with creatures shaped as much by magick as by nature. Coiling tree-serpents thicker than chimneys slither silently overhead in the Moonpine Forest canopies. Forest fungi like Rotbloom sing in croaking choruses as they digest fallen meat, and screaming plants called Wailvines grow exclusively near sites of great tragedy, feeding on the suffering rather than water or sunlight. Even the bogs bubble with mischief, home to Marrowtoads, Leech Lords, and the infamous Firemaws, spiders that imitates the sound of laughter and the light of a campfire to lure in weary, desperate prey. And of course, what land would be complete without its share of fire-breathing sky-lizards, black-feathered bone scavengers, and mantises large enough to pluck armnored Tuskites from their mounts? So yes, travel if you must. Wander the trade roads and shepherd paths, strike out for the hills and ruins if gold or glory calls to you. But know this: the land itself is no passive backdrop. It listens. It watches. And it remembers the scent of fear. Best not to sprain your ankle on a crawl-briar patch just as dusk sets in and the distant howls begin to echo through the trees. In short: be prepared. And if you can help it, stay close to the guards, the city walls, and anything with a roof and a lock. Because while the world of Everwealth is rich with life, it rarely has your continued living in mind.
