Salineas
Salineas is a coastal Kingdom, with the main city, also named Salineas, being on an island off of the mainland. It is protected by the Sea Gate, which draws it's power from the Salinian Runestone: the Pearl. Cities and villages along the islands and coast of the mainland are part of the kingdom, as well as some underwater cities. The Bay and the Channel are two bodies of water that run through the kingdom, and it sits just above the Sleeping Sea.
Government
The kingdom of Salineas is a monarchy that goes back over two thousand years with the ruler being the princess connected to the runestone. The runestone is typically passed down family lines.
Much of Salineas's laws are in line with the other kingdoms of the Princess Alliance.
The kingdom is open-carry for weapons. Many adults choose to carry their own swords.
Salineas has a cat-law, particularly in the major cities. This policy involves a no-kill, no-capture policy. Residents and local businesses are expected to feed and shelture cats when needed. Cats are not consider to be 'strays', they are are viewed as belonging to the community.
Much of the kingdom's income is gained through levies from ships passing through the Sea Gate, a role held by the Liman Müdürü
Defences
Prior to the Battle of Salineas, Salienas had the largest navy in the world. After the Horde Wars , the largest navy is now the Kingdom of Snows.
Salineas has a relatively small land army, but ally with the Rebellion to suppliment when needed. Their land army is comprised of the Palace Guard and the Salinean Army.
Industry & Trade
Salineas is the trade capital of the world. They are known for their ship building industry. They have the highest exports of fish and seafood internationally.
They are known for their famous rugs, perfumes, and coffee. They are second in the world for tulip exports after Plumeria.
Salinean pearls are very expensive and are considered the finest pearls in the world.
Infrastructure
Salineas not only has the largest harbors, but it also has the most harbors and shipyards in the world - despite those numbers being greatly reduced by the Horde Wars . The city roads a primarily cobblestone. Most travel is done by ship or ferry to cross over the waters that break up the kingdom.

History
Present-day Salineas has been inhabited by sentients since the Age of Ancients, with the oldest historical sites dating back to 12,000 BKE. The area was home to the merru, a race of Ancient Ones that lived in underwater caves off the coast of the modern day city of Salineas. The oldest historical records date back to 2000 BKE, belonging to a trade colony.
