Julian Barrecks
Julian Barrecks is the lord of Brightspear. He has led the land for over 20 years and has done so very well. In his youth, he was far more aggressive with his rule. He was quick to punish criminals and took little to no excuses from his men. When he rode with Uther Jotensbane , his lance was always to first to strike at the enemy. His body tells the story of conflicts he has resolved and amongst his people, he holds great respect. Perhaps this is why his eldest son Ector acts the way he does. He might remember a man that was young, strong, and demanded respect from his people.
When his eldest daughter was born it is said that he did not leave his bedchamber for an entire week to spend time with her. This became a common occurrence with all of his children's births. Many found it sweet, the love he had for his kids. Some still saw it as a weakness but who would dare argue with Julain Barrecks? Growing older seems to have softened up Julian a great deal. He tends to go easier on petty crimes and often doesn't dish out punishments as much. Many of the people feel that he is preparing to pass his mantle over to his son so that he can retire. None would complain if this happened. Ector has proven to be a worthy heir and the people know that he will do what is right for them.
