Allesaeia

Allesaeia is a polytheistic religion in Allethra practiced mostly in Allesend and Barisea, and was once the state religion of the Allesend Empire. It consists of a pantheon of three deities, who govern a particular realm of the physical and metaphysical. The names of these gods are prefixed with the word "Alles," meaning "divine" in Barich and Old Alles.

History

Practice of Allesaeia began long before the Pliscian Winter, when the two mortals Alles-Kalmar and Alles-Milni achieved apotheosis. The early humans who served under the Pliscian Civilization as living tools maintained belief that their immortal souls were protected by these gods. After the fall of the Pliscians, worship continued in the nation of Barisea and its outer regions. The region of Allesend was named after the religion, and when it gained its independence, would continue the practice of Allesaeia.   During the reign of the Allesend Empire, God-Emperor Alles-Taluus was considered to be a living deity, a new third member of the pantheon. After he conquered Allethra, worship of Allesaeia became mandatory throughout the Allesend Empire.
