Kingdom of Bellow Bog

The kingdom of the Bellow Bog hums with both magic and life, perhaps it is this that has inspired the Bellovians. This is the most musical kingdom in all of Esparea. The fast and festive music somehow lessens the feelings of impending doom that can easily be felt in more isolated parts of the kingdom. The Bellow Bog lights up at night with different organisms and the tides are integral to the peoples survival here, as such the worship Selune. The Bellow Bog is a hostile environment, but the people are the complete opposite. The fellowship shared by the people of this kingdom is unmatched, Festivals are held and people travel from all edges of the kingdom to come and play music and gather with friends they made at festivals past. Though the area is integral for sea trade there is very little land travel in the are and so not many people have been to Bellow Bog and many of the people who live there have never been anywhere else.
Fun Fact The people along the coast worship the moon and her deities. As the moon is responsible for the pull of the tides that the people rely on so heavily.     Architecture   The architects of the mangrove forests faced unique challenges, the wood f the mangroves is poorly suited for construction and the tangle of trunks roots and vines limited the places the could build suitable dwellings to the point of non starter. So some of the greatest wizards druids artists and architects joined forces to work deep magics forming houses within the trees and their branches by magically weaving the vines themselves together. Creating buildings and homes that were high enough up not to flood but still under the protection of the canopy. Bridges and catwalks connect the cuties yet flow so seamlessly into the surrounding environment it is at times difficult to tell whether you are using a catwalk or just walking on random branches. In the evenings the city is lit from beneath by bio luminescent algae . This algae is collect and used in homes for light by filling small jars with the sea water the algae and small fish or invertebrates t stir up the water and activate the bio-luminescence. This gives the cities a strange ethereal glow.   Further inland in the swampy heart of the bellow bog the architects faced similar problems when it cane to building. The few patches of land that exist in the swamp were to soft to support buildings. There was no feasible way to build roadways and while the waters of the swamp were sustaining the were also filled with dangerous creatures and spirits. Again the people of this resourceful kingdom looked to the natural world around them to solve the problem. Enchanting giant lily pads so that they would not decay so quickly and were able to support immense loads. The buildings themselves are made f the swampy earth that never fully dries on the outside. As a result each building resembles a small plant covered knoll. Smaller Lilly pads and Reed boats are used to Travers the swampy canals, some powered by magic, others rowed by hand. The canals are lit by lanterns filled with luminous insects some of which even hum. Filling the air with a ghostly melody of haunting proportions     Giant Frogs During the process of refining the enchantments for the lily pads several became abandoned. this combined with the magic of Esparea and the abundance of prey allowed the frogs of the area to grow to massive proportions and become ravenous. They now lay claim to these areas, eating anything that comes in range of their ever searching tongues.
