Basalt Burrow

The Dwarven Citadel located in Hammervale. Magma rivers in the Spirit Age formed the tunnels of the mines; rivers of magma still flow through the underground complexes.   While the dwarves are the most numerous of the inhabitants of the mines, they do not live alone. There is a race of Spirits that made their way from the Eternal Domain through an underground portal. These Spirits are known as Fitari; Fire Folk, goodly creatures born when a mortal worshipper of the Chara Spirit, Helec, dies. Many of the dwarves believe that they will eventually change into Fitari and come back and join their brethren once again in the mines.

History

The dwarves awoke in the mountains at the beginning of the Mortal Age and began to mine and craft their society. It was a hard life in the beginning due to the fact that the mountains were still home to many Spirits still called the mountains home. Fortunately, the starting population of the dwarves was the highest out of any of the pockets in Erthos and they managed to survive even with high casualties.    In the year 74 they mined out a new section of the area and found a portal to Helec "Spirit of Revival, Fire, and Crafting 's domain in the Eternal Domain. From this portal emerged the Fitari and they offered an alliance with the dwarves.
