Throughpass
A small settlement south of the capital of The Halidore Isles, all of the major roads pass through Throughpass, giving it it's name.
It is a regular stop for travellers, adventurers and the like, providing an excellent resting stop for those travelling the harsh island continent.
Demographics
Mostly Human, some half-Elf.
Government
Village currently led by elected Human Male who reports to Dragon's End when necessary or if the village is unable to handle a situation themselves.
Defences
People's militia. Small detachment of Dragonsguard are always ready in Dragon's End in case they're needed to hastily defend Throughpass.
Industry & Trade
Mostly a town of travellers and entertainers. Those who live in Throughpass often do so for ease of travelling to other locations to perform & earn money, as well as collect items etc to sell to Rynna to resell to those passing through.
Infrastructure
All the main roads of the Halidore Isles pass through Throughpass before reaching Dragon's End & Mor Dothak and, as such, much of their commerce comes from those restocking supplies quickly, or resting at the Three Turtle Taproom.
Assets
Rynna's Re-stock: A general store owned by female Half-Elf Rynna. Contains various adventuring gear sold on by passing travellers, and supplies to help travellers through their journeys.
The Three Turtle Taproom: Owned by Tertuga "Terry" Torrentop, and his two brothers Talen & Tino, somewhat (in(n))famous for it's slow service, given that the owners & servers are all Tortle.
Fairly large shrines to Aheyr, God of Virtues, & Eytelania, Goddess of Journeys, the latter attracting many passers-through who wish to be blessed on their travels.
Guilds and Factions
Entertainer's Guild/Bard's Guild/Travelling Performers Guilds all make their home in Throughpass.
History
The village was a small settlement for many years before the Frozen Star of the North began to build itself up. It was established early on as a convenient rest stop for those wishing to travel to or from Azith, and was close to the original capital before it's destruction by the dragon's skeleton which would later become Dragon's End. As roads began to form in and around the settlement, more came to stay and live and it was gradually built into the small village it is now, with many temporary homes which are often shared by multiple residents, switching ownership while they embark on their journeys.
Architecture
Simple stone & wood buildings, insulated as much as possible to keep the cold out. Bright colours are very common as people individualism their dwellings.
Geography
Landlocked, access to water through wells & pumps built into the surrounding ice, and filtration systems from Mor Dothak.
Natural Resources
Snowberries common in the surrounding area, with few icefruit trees also growing from gifted seeds by travellers long passed through.
