Zrazie Ee
The current head of the Owlin Council, Zrasie Ee—as merely the first amongst peers—had to share his power with other powerful Owlins and the Darklight Guardians under Keyi Aw. For a time, it appeared that Keyi Aw would take absolute control of the island, aided by mysterious godlike powers that seemed to have been a boon from the folk god Etuna. Then Keyi became very sick, curtesy of the Court Alchemist Hootalin—secretly a true chosen of Etuna. Hootalin took a magical ring from Keyi, which granted him his powers and fled to Bravia.
All this served Zrasie well, as for the moment, a political opponent was rendered powerles. The unreliable Darklight Guardians were still around, however. Some years after this incident, he had to organize a response to the Bravian invasion of his island of Althena. His instinct was to evactuate after it appeared that their overlord in the North Sea Empire had given up on their tributary island.
But Zrazie was notified by something else: Hootalin had returned to Althena with a party of strangers. Not only had they given Althena an early warning of the invasion, they quickly aided Althena in stopping both the invasion and the Darklight Guardians under Keyi Aw completely. Zrazie was grateful for the help and awarded the party with a large sum of gold.
