Drak Drak
Drak Drak was chief of Murmire’s law enforcement, forced to act as a soldier during the Bravian invasion. The party stumbled upon him defending a caravan against Bravian troops. A tall, armored hobgoblin dual-wielding longswords, he made quite the impression: the kind of impression you get when someone introduces themselves by hacking people apart.
Officially, he claimed to be “following up” on the Althenan expulsion order for non-citizens. Unofficially, this meant rounding up refugees and selling them to the highest bidder over at the North Sea Empire. Why let people go free to Neematona, when you could chain them up and make a tidy profit instead? Truly, an entrepreneurial spirit.
He is brusque, arrogant, and about as trustworthy as a Bravian tax collector. When faced with moral outrage, his response is usually a shrug and something like, “What? Somebody has to profit from this mess.”
He is not without charisma, in the same way that a plague rat is not without fleas. Against all odds, he fought alongside the party for a time—largely because Hootalin and the owlins cowed him into compliance whenever he tried to wander off and pursue his slaving schemes. He survived this adventure, got paid for his work, and then was kindly kicked off the island for his schemes.
