Haven Oaks
History
Founded as a trade hub for House Moonshadow In early 1050s mostly to gain influence and wealth from House Aquilar, and the Sultan, Haven Oak soon developed into a thriving city.
Located just west of the Bogmans March and along the Flint River Haven Oaks Serves as the headquarters for the Antelope Riders who ride out over the steppes protecting traders, pilgrims and travellers.
Population
Over the years Haven Oaks has grown to be a significant city, of some 37,000 people. The shelter of the Western Boars Back Mountains makes the climate of the city relatively warm. This coupled with its position in large trade routes and proximity to the royal city of Helenon, Haven Oaks continues to grow quickly.
Economy
The unique position of the city makes excellent farms around the city limits. There is limited land, so there is not much agricultural surplus.
Some small pitch rigs have been erected in the Bogmans march, so there a small amount of flammable pitch, added tot helical economy. However the major economy is taxing the traders and travellers at the river Crossing of Ambross .
