Erlich Stormrider
About
Born in 1126, In Seafall, Erlich is the younger brother of Cedric Stormrider And therefore considered a lesser noble of the House Stormrider .
As a young child Erlich’s mother Frensia Stormrider forced strict learning and piety upon her children. Erlich did well in his studies and soon was a competent bookkeeper by the age of 12.
A smaller man than his brother standing at 5”10 and 170lbs, Erlich was less combat oriented, though martial prowess was drilled into both brothers. When Cedric left to tour Belkar and meet the other houses of the land, Erlich was not included, and so instead expanded the Church of Mara, finding the coin for quality workman and overseeing the construction of a 3rd story bell tower. When it was completed in 1144, it was the tallest structure in Seafall,
4 months after the bell towers completion Frensia died, leaving Cedric the new Timir who quickly assigned Erlich the master of coin position at the age of 18.
Erlich was then asked to rebuild and strengthen the docks, adding two new jetties for more merchant ships, as well as a significant policy shift from a focus on the church to a focus on improving commerce.
Since then Erlich has been involved in raising the coin for or directly overseeing other rebuilding projects in Seafall including the setting of cobblestones in Mara's Market, the enlargement of the The Hammer and Anvil at the request of Garrick The Blacksmith and others.
Since he was not in line for the house inheritance, Erlich was anti pressured to marry, and so chose to marry his childhood sweetheart Valkara swiftwave, who owns the Silver Stag Inn In 1142. They have had no children.
Erlich is extremely loyal to his brother and his house, viewing his duty to the people that have given him a life. He bears no ill will towards not inheriting the head of house title and secretly rejoices that he is not bound to the same standards as his older brother.
