Horsemen of Cavallo

A group of cavaliers and centaurs who are devoted to Cavallo. They make camp on the Prospra Fields and venture out in search of those that their god would have them punish. The slavers who still operate in Alliance territories are their primary targets. They are led by a centaur named Jorkan, who has grown up among the group.

Structure

The larger organization is lead by a Chief and divided into several camps that are spread out across the plains. Each camp is run by a Commander who has four to six Cavaliers under them. Each Cavalier, in turn, is in charge of up to ten Scouts. The camp Shamen acts as a spiritual leader of the group. At any given time, there might be two or three Runners staying in a camp. Their ranks consist of Centaurs and other so-called beastfolk from Lagorn as well as Humanoids from Del'Tarim. Those who need to use horses will form strong bonds with their steeds, treating them as equal partners rather than livestock. A horse that runs from camp may be pursued, but use of force to bring them back is strictly prohibited.

RANKS

Runner - Considered an honored position, Runners carry messages between camps, never staying in one camp for more that a few weeks. They also assume command over a scout team when trading with nomadic tribes or the merchants of Final Respite.

Shamen - Spiritual leaders and advisors to the Commanders. They pray for guidance from Cavallo when seeking out those who are to be brought to justice. Additionally, they lead their camps in regular worship and tend to sick or injured members.

Scout - The lowest ranking members of the organization. In camp, they perform most of the manual labor. When on missions, they are very well coordinated, following the direction of their Cavalier with the dedication of a soldier.

Cavaliers - Veterans who have earned the Commander's trust. They are considered the heart of the camp, delegating tasks to their scouts and providing help where it is most needed at the time. they are also responsible for daily training.

Commander - The highest authority next to the Chief. Commanders oversee everything that happens within camp and assign missions to the Cavaliers. A commander might lead a mission themselves if two or more teams are deemed necessary, in which case, the appoint one Cavalier to lead the camp in their stead.

Chief - The Chief holds supreme authority over all of the camps. They hold meetings twice each year with all of the Commanders to discuss the needs of the camps as well as progress in their greater goal to see all races free of captivity or slavery.
