The Lost Ruins (Book 1)

It was any explorer's dream: a set of untouched ruins filled with artifacts that hadn't been handled since time immemorial. There was only one problem. Those ruins sat in the middle of the haunted Walder forest, right at the doorstep of the dangerous bloodsucking vampirs known to inhabit the area. Many had tried to reach the ruins, but none had ever returned.   Now a new attempt to reach the ruins is underway. Led by young adventurer Elena Hunt, a new expedition sets off into the forest. Only one man is willing to guide them through the dangerous forests and the prize that waits inside; everyone else predicts certain doom for the explorers. Deaf to their warnings, Elena sets off, determined to prove herself by claiming the artifacts no matter the cost...   Content Note: I would rate this story as somewhere between a T and M (possibly closer to M). There are scenes of violence, and some intense situations, including blood and gore. Some strong language is used, with severity depending on whether you speak British or American English. No sexual content.
