Kondar
Rough-hewn and stubborn as the cliffs it was carved from, Kondar is a port of miners, traders, and hardened seafarers. Life here is hard, but the ale is strong, the friendships stronger, and the harbor always open to opportunity, or mischief.
Demographics
The population here is heavily mixed: humans, dwarves, orcs, and even halfling traders. Slightly rougher and more "working class" compared to Hegyar.
Government
The Lord Mayor, appointed by the King's representative but heavily influenced by trade guilds, rules the city with an iron fist.
Industry & Trade
Specializes in ore shipments, stone goods, and fur trading. Trades with both Ironhold and Jadeheart Kingdom merchants, as well as those from across the sea in Peyurna, and even from Septentri.
Guilds and Factions
Miners' Syndicate, Fur Traders' League, and a criminal group known as the "Silent Harpoons", a sort of ocean-based theives' guild, is rumored to have ships coming and going.
History
Founded in 1030, Kondar served as a mining supply depot originally but grew into a thriving trade port. Survived two major pirate attacks in its history, both celebrated with annual "Victory Tides."
Tourism
Travelers visit for the Victory Tides Festival, famous for mock ship battles and ale contests.
