Isodemos Pagonidi
Komapoli's wealthiest merchant, Isodemos was elected Archon in a highly contested election where many citizens claimed that he bribed his way to the top. A subsequent investigation by the Archidikasterion found no laws had technically been broken, and his election was allowed to stand. This caused the Eklesia to pass new legislation outlawing promises of assets or positions of power by candidates for Archon in any city.
Despite his dubious methods, the port city of Komapoli has increased its trade since his election, bringing in lots of new money from taxes and bringing new clients to the many guilds in and around the port. Some in the city grow uneasy given its relative closeness to the western ports of Aethel. Isodemos is in Pasos to ask the Eklesia and the Triarchia to increase military presence in the city and expand its naval output with new shipbuilding.
