Yellow Brick Road
The Yellow Brick Road is perhaps the most famous landmark in the whole of Ostké (the land better known as Oz). It was laid down by a diverse team of laborers during the Wander Years between the First and Second Ages of Eden, a team comprised of representatives from all four of the major halfling clans: the Gillikins, Munchkins, Quadlings, and Winkies.
As for its color, that was determined by a card game between the four civil engineers in charge of the project. When the Winkie won, she understandably chose the national color of Winkie Country: yellow.
Route
The Yellow Brick Road begins on the western bank of the Bü‘ükopo Oadü, just south of the Eastern Ozite Mountain Range. It continues at a diagonal, from northeast to southwest, until it reaches the Green House in the Emerald City—the road’s western terminus.
Along the way, it passes through the village of Dorothy’s Landing and many other notable Munchkin townships.
I love that the colour was decided by a bet.
