Virneth
Virneth is a region on the elven homeworld which is best known as the birthplace of Lowland Culture and the Church of the Sky.
Geography
The region is bounded by mountain ranges in the south, north, and northeast; by an ocean in west; and by a sea in the southeast. As a result, it is one of the most geographically isolated regions on the planet. But beyond that, it is home to the largest expanse of open land on the planet as well—a verdant plain set beneath a wide open sky.
Climate
Virneth is known for its dry summer climate—what we Earthlings would call a “Mediterranean climate.” The summers are hot, the winters are mild but wet, and both spring and fall are short-lived and entirely unremarkable.
Fauna & Flora
Like the rest of the arboreal elven homeworld, Virneth is characterized by its woodlands—sprawling forests filled with incredibly tall and often ancient trees. The one place where trees don’t grow is the plain at the region’s center, a place known instead for its grasslands, thickets, and groves.
The region’s fauna is incredibly diverse. Because the elves here are devoted to the Sky Father’s Pact, they believe sustainable farming and hunting practices are essential parts of a well-lived life. As a result, very few species in Virneth are endangered. The Lowlanders view themselves as just one part of a complex ecosystem, and not more important than any other part.
Natural Resources
Virnethian produce is the region’s most popular export. Nowhere else on the planet is able to sustain crops which require sustained direct sunlight, at least not at this scale.
Sounds like a beautiful area. I bet they grow good grapes!

Yes, that was my thinking. I wasn't sure whether to just call them grapes, or if I should come up with some weird elven fruit that produces something similar to wine. Still figuring that stuff out.
