Lowland Elf
Lowland Elves are a deeply misunderstood ethnic group in Eden. A modest people, they are perhaps best known their red hooded cloaks and for their refusal to participate in war. In 144, some sixty families of Lowlanders were expelled from the city of Chelmsdale after being accused of aiding and abetting the halfling perpetrators of the Emerald Rebellion. These sixty families were forcibly relocated to the Ozite city of Newest Orleans, where many of their descendants remained until the end of the Second Age.

Major language groups and dialects
Virnethan is spoken as a first language in most Lowlander homes. English and Lüota are also common, the former because all sapient beings in Eden are magically fluent and the latter because it is the primary language of Quadlings. A Lüotan-Virnethan-English creole has also developed over the centuries.
Shared customary codes and values
The vast majority of Lowland Elves are members of the Church of the Sky and therefore live their lives in accordance with the Sky Father’s Pact. Among the values Lowlanders almost universally share are modesty, charity, pacifism, and nonviolent activism. Most are also dedicated to the pursuit of equity and justice for all.
Their devotion to modesty does not include a prohibition on “impropriety” or “indecency,” concepts which are mostly foreign to them. The Lowlander believes one should be unassuming and moderate in the estimation of one’s abilities, yes, but not that one should shun all forms of personal expression (including, but not limited to clothing choices).
It’s important to remember that their belief in the importance of modesty springs from the first and fifth agreements of the Sky Father’s Pact, which read “We are all children of the same father, and a father shall have no favorites” and “Share your good fortune” respectively. There is no prohibition against looking good, only an understanding that if you’re going to look good then you better help everyone else look their best as well.
This was an important distinction which eased the Lowlanders integration into the cosmopolitan culture of Newest Orleans. They never looked down upon the bawdiness of the native Quadlings and that earned them a great many friends in their new home.
I'm imagining a Lowland Elf exclaiming, "Imaboudamakeanamefomyself" and not ... Throwing exploding cards. Ok, my joke fell down like a house of cards.

Nah, man, I'm picking up what you're putting down. There's an upcoming issue that's going to take us to Newest Orleans, and now I kinda want to draw Elven Gambit into the background somewhere.
