The Storm That Would Not Move
The Storm That Would Not Move is the common name for an enormous cloud which has hovered over the Sea of Tears since the Second Age of Eden. Though this Cumulus mediocris produces only light precipitation when it produces any at all, the cloud’s size and immovability—the sheer ominousness of it—suggest that, at the very least, a metaphorical storm is brewing.
Since the Spriggins Incident of 179, an enormous beanstalk has climbed from the island village of Learstown and up into the unmoving cloud above. But after Jack Spriggins misadventures that year and the resulting conflict with the giants who call the Storm home, the Council of Five deemed both the Storm and the Beanstalk off limits to all.
Not that that’s stopped people from attempting the climb. Heck, not even the jubjubs have managed that!
Geography
The Storm That Would Not Move is a large Cumulus mediocris cloud which hovers approximately 4,200 feet above the Sea of Tears, along the border between the Wonderlandian provinces of Neverland and The Highlands. It is 13 miles long and 2.3 miles wide at its widest point.
The cloud rises 1,250 feet from base to crown and is vaguely cauliflower-shaped in form.
Climate
Moister than a hare’s hairy heinie on the Fourth of July.
Fauna & Flora
The Storm is home to a plethora of oversized flora and fauna. The most well-known of these are the giants: blue-skinned, ten-foot-tall humanoids with a fondness for bowling and baking bread from the ground-up bones of foul-smelling Englishmen.
