The New Millennium

The year 2000 is only months away and the people of Eberron begin to prepare for a new millennium.   Some believe that the coming of the new millennium will bring new prosperity to the planet while others see it as a time for change in status quo.   Whatever you decide to believe, it is hard to not notice a new amplified electricity in the world around you.   Recent The Aberrant attacks in Sharn and Making seem to have amplified this electricity.   Everywhere you look it seems as Eberron is ready to burst.

Some scholars look to the draconic prophecy as a way to interrupt the upcoming millennia, while others believe that is it time for change.

The upcoming Millennium is something talked about openly among all classes of people of Eberron.   Their are some fringe groups who have their own ideas what is to come but those secrets are usually kept close to heart.

Some dooms days cults have used the coming millennium as a way to spread their belief in the destruction of Eberron.   Others believe that the rumors of sentient Cannith robots is also a sign of troubles to come, this has created techno-cults and other AI worshiping religions to grow in ranks. This includes a Re-born cult infamously gaining reputation as their leader believes himself to be a new prophet to a God lost in Prometheus.   An even smaller group believes that House Cannith is working on something within The Clocktower that will cause the apocalypse causing House Cannith to up security in recent months.
