The Kabal of Seven

The occult made manifest

Many may come to demon worship out of desperation for one reason or another, however, one thing is synonymous among all of them demon worship is in the material realm seen as hearsay and cultic so it is often forbidden. Cults surrounding the seven demon lords and their queen have through the ages become almost given so they have in recent times decided to band together. This article seeks to chronically describe and collect demon worship into one singular article, as demon worship is present within the entirety of Eastrix but does not vary in the ways that it is commenced.

Clergy

Demon worship comes often in the form of a dark bargain of some kind with a demon, most often an Arch-Demon. Arch-Demons vary but primarily consist of the demon lords and the demon queen. This dark bargain consists often of an individual gaining some kind of gift in exchange for something, this can e.g. be your soul or ever-dying loyalty. It purely depends on what sinister ideals the demon that the individual is worshipping lives by. With this similarity between all of the cults, cultist unified their different worship of demons in an act known by cultists as "The Reunion of the Seven", from this came the Kabal of Seven. The Kabal of Seven seeks to collectively appease the archdemons of Gehenna in an organized manner by establishing a Kabal that has legitimized and institutionalized demon worship. This appraisal can vary but often consists of murder, corruption or spreading curses and plagues.

Ranks

The Kabal of Seven is regimented by a strict hierarchy of ranks and titles, allowing one to self-indulge in the hellish contentment of demonic bargains and worshipping. Originally, those titles were split into seven different areas each one representing each demon lord, however, in recent times this representation of each demon lord has been replaced by a council sitting atop the whole of the Kabal or cult. The ranks in ascending order:
  • Hellborn
  • Hellbrood
  • Draecons
  • Arch Draecons
  • Hierarch
The role of Hellborns is usually frivolous and rudimentary, often Hellborns concern themselves with gaining a basic understanding of Gehenna and hellish biology. Hellbrood starts to take on missions and tasks such as participating in hellish rituals and offering to the Arch-Demons of the Seven Hells. Draecons are the people of the Kabal of Seven that directly interact with and help the Abishai and other demon underlings exact the will of the Arch-Demons. Often times Draecons also get the chance to see the Arch-Demon that they appraise and if they are very lucky perhaps multiple. Arch Draecons include the Abishai and a few mortals that have dedicated their lives to the service of the Arch-Demons. Arch Draecons are highly loyal servants that sinister and twisted minds that have only the wants and desires of themselves and Arch-Demons in their minds. Hierarchs work as the ranks dedicated to the keeping of the cult and essentially work as representatives in the Material Realm for the different Arch-Demons. Frequently being used for possession by the Arch-Demons but also carrying out their own wills upon the Material Realm.

Dogma

To the Kabal of Seven, all who pray to celestial or fay gods of all creeds and from any pantheon are inherently tyrannical, and therefore rivals. The Kabal of Seven considers the Arch-Demons to be the only beings powerful enough to defy these gods and overthrow their despotic rule. It is only through them that salvation from these corrupt deities can be found. As demonstrated by Tiamat when she murdered Bahamut, these gods can be slain, they can be dealt with. Followers of the Kabal work tirelessly toward exacting the wills of the Arch-Demons to achieve the promises or rewards that Arch-Demons have made with them. Whilst working toward this goal, however, these followers must be willing to obey any commands without question and even sacrifice their own lives if necessary.

The most important thing for this faith, or bargain, is self-indulgence in whatever aspect of the Arch-Demons a follower has ascribed themselves to, and there are very few limits to the depravities and perversions members of the Kabal of Seven are wiling to commit in the pursuit of such goals.

Tenets of Faith

An individual who devotes themselves to any of the Arch-Demons of the Kabal gets the tenets of the Kabal seared into their flesh with hot irons. This searing is in the infernal script. This searing is usually done upon a visible piece of skin such as the face, the forearms or the upper chest. The searing will read thusly:   "Ruin. Worlds should be burning from the labour of your hands. The screams of the innocent, the pleas of the righteous resound shall be responded to with your cruel laughter. Suffering and damnation await all who should oppose the Kabal of Arch-Demons and wars shall be lost. For all who dare oppose the Scaled Leviathan and her Kabal, shall only know ruin."   Desire. Desire, it is the pinnacle of what awaits us down in Gehenna and from it arise feelings so strong that even the most faithful of believers will begin to doubt the tenets of their faith. If the wicked conformers of celestials and fay have more than you then it is far too much. If the wicked conformers of celestials and fay have less than you then it is far too much. What they have, is yours to take. Desire drives, desire guides.    Indulgence. Hail all who carelessly act on the emotion. For raw emotion unrestricted is the strongest fuel for striking against the restrictions of Himmia. The prison they seek to lay upon you is unnatural. Fight it. Strike it. Steal with it. Serve with it. Want with it. Kill with it. Envy it. Take it. Make it.".

Worship

People pray to Arch-Demons on rare occasions but when they do, it is usually an arrogant display of excess and power. Usually required is a living sacrifice of some kind, along with many runes and circles. This sacrifice is to be slain and sent to the Arch-Demons. Often the prayer is referred to as a seance and is done before the Kabal enacts one of their many schemes. Not for the Arch-Demons to protect them, but for them to watch and indulge in their desire as the followers kill and murder. These seances are often done at night. The prayer goes as the following:

"Woe to those who hear the words of the Infernal Denizens of the Seven Hells, for their soul shall be tainted for all eternity. Woe be to our enemies of false faith, their souls shall be ours. Tonight we indulge. Tonight we destroy, for the sake of Destruction. Tonight we kill, for the sake of Killing. Let no good deed go unpunished. Let no evil deed go unrewarded. Burn the body; sear the soul. Impurity shall be our armour. Hate shall be our weapon. Immortality shall be our reward. Death to the Ten Heavens of Himmia!".
