Discovery, Exploration
As the Inkwater Marshes were increasingly cleared by the qlippoth, the Holy Order of Druids increasingly pestered the lizardfolk to get rid of them. While the lizardfolk did not want to distrust their new allies, even after several generations, the druids were able to convince them to explore the newly liberated territories. Here they found many more portals similar to the first, although smaller in size. They also found the land to be corrupted, beyond even what the undead were capable of.
Although the warning of the druids did not do much at first, they were able to convince a single group of scouts to check out the progress of the qlippoth. When this party did not return, it was much easier to convince the other lizardfolk to send more, which also did not return. Eventually, a single, wounded scout returned with reports of many more portals. Each smaller than the original, but just as capable of bringing qlippoth through. Upon learning of this the lizardfolk finally reconsidered their stance on the qlippoth.
