Although it took almost two decades for the news about the great evil to reach Chessenta, once it did the lizardfolk were quick to volunteer for action. However, the Holy Order of Druids were fiercely against this due to them perceiving the lizardfolk as against the world trees.

As the first warband of lizardfolk travalled out of the marshes they were quickly met by druids holding them back. According to them, the lizardfolk were not aligned with the world trees and as such were not needed for the fight.   This angered many of the lizardfolk, not least the warband itself who argued they were denied the glory and now had to retreat in shame back to where they came from. Yet this did not dissuade the druids and eventually, the Holy Order successfully created a full network to contain the lizardfolk. This however did little to satisfy the lizardfolk and eventually, an agreement was brokered through the help of a travelling band of explorers wherein the lizardfolk would have to prove themselves in the face of the world trees. This test would be done by climbing Death's Peak, a notorious mountain covered thickly in the miasma from Li'gnax. The druids doubted anyone would ever attempt something this foolish but soon a small temple was built to prepare for the climb and only a few years later did the first warband of lizardfolk who had taken the journey set off to fight the great evil.
