Palace of Putrification

This building sits at the bottom of Death's Peak and serves as a final place of preparation for venturing up the mountain and be tested by Li'gnax. Very few have been accepted throughout history and so far none of those have told of what is found on the top of the mountain beyond vague terms. Those who are not accepted are typically not seen again although Li'gnax does allow some people to return. Those who return are viewed with much reverence to the point of being promoted to chief of clans or given high ranking positions in hope that their good standing with Li'gnax brings fortune to those around them. The rituals performed here to ready those willing to ascend typically involve starvation followed by eating and submersion into rotten fruit, meat or other produce and in extreme occasions allowing part of the body to rot. This is meant to align the petitioner with the will of Li'gnax as well as make sure that only the most determined will attempt the ascend as many fear that too many petitioners will make Li'gnax angry.
