Discovery of the Primordial Ruins

With the great evil vanquished and sealed, exploration of the Cave of Secession began once again. The Holy Order of Druids initially welcomed this as an increased security guarantee of the Holy City of E'ath as the caves were known to go far into unexplored depths.

As explorers went deeper they soon found that some parts of the caves seemed cut and processed in some way. Following those corridors for many days, while staving off the monsters that had made the caves their home, they eventually came across ruins.   These ruins were clearly made by intelligent beings. Although the original residents had long since left the ruins, it was quite clear that they would have been about human size based on the size of the ruins.
