As the Savage Isles began unifying so did their resitance against the elves of the Holy Order of Druids. This soon developed into increasingly large retaliatory actions until in the end a band of humans in search of lumber for the construction of forts near Mil'el cut down a huge number of trees behind the battle lines of the druids. This started a full on war.

Due to the inherent long lives of elves, the Druid of the Holy Order had not planned for the Savage Isles to be able to unify against them before it was too late. However the short lives of the species meant that action was quickly taken and unification came fra more quickly than the elves had anticipated.   This soon meant that the druids were outnumbered and only through tactical wit of one of the few dwarves among the druids did they manage to hold a defensive live when they got beaten back. Although the war was still ongoing for 24 years it had only taken the species of the Savage Isles 4 years to beat them back far enough that the druids no longer had control of any part of the Savage Isles. The last 20 years mostly consited of futile raids from the Druids of the Holy Order that took a long while to give up their objective of winning the war.   Although the war is officially over, the holy order still often uses spies and sabotage as much as possible and still tries to keep the deforestation to a minimum.
