Battle of the Wasted Lands

After the dwarves began settling on Sin Ar Isle other races were quick to follow. Many halflings travelled further east of there and settled on the Island that is now known as The Wasted Lands. With them, the gods followed and while the Holy Order of Druids had been accepting of the dwarves due to their political battle with the gods, they could not accept the gods gaining more followers and power, so they gathered their forces to expel the short-lived races.

As the island was getting settled the gods were busy in all corners of the world trying to hold onto their followers as the Holy Order of Druids were going after them in an attempt to weaken the gods. However, as the Holy Order of Druids began forcefully expelling their followers many quickly came to The Wasted Lands in protests. These protests quickly escalated with the gods gathering other short-lived races on the island while the Holy Order of Druids gathered outsiders of all kinds.   As the gods still did not have many followers following the battle against the great evil they were not able to get an advantage and the battle lasted for almost a month with near constant fighting. During the battle, the island slowly turned into a graveyard with most bodies not getting retrieved or buried as spells would constantly be flung across the island. Eventually undead began spawning naturally on the island and as increasingly powerful creatures were killed in battle, the power of the undeads increased similarly.   Eventually all but the most powerful mortals had to leave the island as there were too many undead. While this had technically been the goal of the Holy Order of Druids from the beginning, they considered the cost too great and started negotiating rules of combat with the gods.
