The Settling of the Inkwater Marshes

When the lizardfolk found the Inkwater Marsh and saw that it was uninhabited, they quickly settled down. From here they fought the local wildlife and the undead that had already multiplied to extreme levels. From this, they eventually managed to settle down and make a living for themselves.

Before the lizardfolk, few people had dared to do anything about the Inkwater marsh and the area around Li'gnax. The Holy Order of Druids had quickly decided it to be the will of the world tree while many scholars saw a distinct problem in allowing undead to spread as far and as numerous as they had around Li'gnax.   When the lizardfolk first came to the marshes, however, they quickly made short work of many undead and settled down. Their settlement got assaulted numerous times over the next few years and a culture of the strongest lizardfolk led the tribe quickly evolved.
