The Elysium Arena

This grand arena is located at the center of Mil'el and is dedicated to the people from the original founder of Mil'el. In its original construction this arena was quite a bit smaller only able to accommodate fights between at most 4 people without it getting cramped. Since then it has been reconstructed many times and there is almost always some magicians in the process of creating new foundations on top of the houses that neighbors it. This has resulted in the current arena being able to be filled with water from nearby water reservoirs to house grand ship battles with hundreds of ships when needed or have medium scale battlefields reenacted upon it. This has resulted in a construction that is effectively raised above the roofs of nearby houses with many of them located beneath the current fighting ground of the arena. Some of those have been repurposed as fitting rooms, storage rooms or otherwise being used for whatever needs the arena has. The entry to the arena is free, but paying customers get better seats and due to the size of the arena many free customers will often need to buy or rent magic items that enhances eyesight to properly see the battles. Despite this the arena often gets filled due to excitement of the events. The events themselves range from gladiator fights to theatrical plays and scholarly debates. Just about anything worthy of an audience can take the stage of the arena. Most often the events are decided based on time and popularity with less popular events happening late at night or early in the morning whereas popular events such as gladiator fights with exotic or well known participants often get held in the evening.
