Vanguardism
Vanguardism is a radical ideological framework and strategy within the communist tradition. Within vanguardism, revolution can only be achieved through the direction of organizations formed by the most politically educated and motivated section of the working class.
The purpose of these organizations is to grow the political consciousness of the working class and push them towards revolution, then to serve as the leading mechanism for the revolution, through which the working class opposes the owning class and its footsoldiers. Most vanguardists then believe that the vanguard organization must take the leading role after the revolution, through a republican communist worker state.
The writing of Duli Pelnes following the Mitaque Revolution is the foundation for vanguardism. The Mitaque Revolution was the first successful seizure of power by a communist party, and this fact gave Pelnes a great deal of influence. However, reports of corruption and abuse of power within the Socialist Republic of Mitaque have discredited vanguardism among many communists.
