Dimotiatoro
Dimotiatoro are communal kitchens in the cultures of the Gafinou Peninsula. They are holdovers from peasant traditions, but they have remained popular within working poor neighborhoods in major cities. The term has been used to describe communal kitchens and dining halls operated by the SEK-ESK solidarity committees, used to feed striking workers and anyone who needs a meal.
