1347 Copilimban Rebellion

The 1347 Copilimban Rebellion was an uprising by the Copilimba people of southeastern Eaorma against Lawuusmut, who had controlled their land for centuries.   The Last War put a great deal of strain on Lawuusmut's already fragile political and economic situation, and in 1347, they paid for it when the Copilimba rose up in an attempt to gain independence. Lawuusmut military and police were unable to suppress the rebellion, and they called upon their allies with the Rising Powers Pact for aid. The Hallowed Lands sent troops to put down the rebellion in 1348, but instead of leaving the territory, they occupied it, claiming to be protecting the people of southern Eaorma.   Lawuusmut, unable to afford the possibility of a war with the Hallowed Lands, let alone the rest of the Rising Powers, was able to do little more than denounce the blatant act of colonial aggression.
