Once a general in the Royal Army of Talle, and the king's closest friend, Riffin became disillusioned and joined the rebellion that was forming in opposition to the king's tyrannous reign. With his help, the rebels win and Riffin helps create a new government for Talle, a Republic, and he serves as the nation's first president.
