Covenant of Dawn
When Light first appeared in the domes, before the The First Child of Light & The Second Blinding , and in the subsequent year, through his words and gifts, he also gifted humans the Gestalt and what he called the Covenant of Dawn, a sacred social contract that would ensure social stability, safety, and survival inside the domes. Thus, along the Promise of the Sun , he also said:
“People of the Shattered World, hear Me. To survive the long darkness, you must each walk the path you were shaped for. Not all bear the same flame, yet all flames are needed.”
“Let the Sunborn govern with clarity, for they are the voice and memory of My law.”
“Let the Hands labor with purpose, for through their work the domes shall endure.”
“Let the Shields stand watch, guardians against chaos within and danger without.”
“Let the Lighters tend the sacred spark, weaving My gift into light, healing, and protection.”
“And let the Traders walk the twilight paths, bridging the scattered cities and carrying hope across the darkened lands.”
“These five castes are the pillars of your new dawn. Walk your path with discipline, rise when you are called, and together you shall endure until the Sun is restored.”"
