For approximately two centuries after the Progenitor Wars, the people endured a relentless famine that seemed to be an inescapable plight.   However, a pivotal encounter between a man named Vladimir Doncovich and the enigmatic entity known as Luna brought a glimmer of hope to the desolate land. Striking a mysterious deal, Vladimir was transformed into the first vampire on Dionis, adopting the name Dracula. With his newfound affliction, Dracula unleashed a curse-breaking magic upon the land, lifting the famine that had plagued the continent for generations. The people, grateful for Luna's intervention, began to worship the Sisters and Luna herself, while only a select few continued to revere Aubadae.   As time passed, questions arose about Dracula's leadership and the need for an heir. Reluctantly, Dracula fostered numerous heirs, yet none were able to ascend to the position of Count, which brought stability and authority. Dracula, steadily growing in power, ushered in an era of technological advancement within Arnovia, with the nation making strides independently of external influences.   However, the reign of Dracula was abruptly cut short by an assassination attempt, resulting in his demise. The search for his most recent heir, who could continue the bloodline and assume the role of Count, remains fruitless. In the absence of a clear successor, a noble court known as The Living Will has taken charge of the Lunan Citadel, overseeing the affairs of Arnovia and maintaining order in the wake of Dracula's absence.
