Session 078: Mordenkainen's Contingency Report
The Wild Cards head to a Yuan-Ti dungeon
General Summary

Recap
The session began with the party awakening from unsettling dreams orchestrated by **Vecna**, who was attempting to manipulate them for a powerful orb in **Sas's** possession. The characters spent their downtime on personal pursuits: **Shadow** tried and failed to copy a magical tattoo, **Barlo** got a **Telepathy** tattoo, **Bastion** read a book on extra-dimensional spaces, **Calliope** worked on costumes, and **Sas** studied herbalism. That night, their dreams continued, with each member facing a personalized ordeal where a mysterious voice offered dark secrets about their past and loved ones in exchange for the orb. Upon waking, they realized their shared experience and **Barlo**'s dream about a "purple dragon" and his **Draconic** heritage led them to discover that both he and **Bastion** shared a mysterious, non-magical connection that seemed to be tied to their shared past with **Meklen**. Their morning was interrupted by the sudden disappearance of the **Professor Orb** from their ship, which they suspected was stolen by **Vecna** or his agents. The party concluded the session with the realization that **Vecna's** influence, the missing orb, and their **Draconic** connections were all part of a larger, interconnected plot.
Summary
The adventurers gathered to meet Mordenkainen's Simulacrum, a Simulacrum created by Paradox, who shared vital information about their ongoing conflict with Vecna. Mordenkainen's Simulacrum revealed that Vecna required specific orbs to complete a ritual that would restore his power. The party carefully considered three potential courses of action: locating the legendary Sword of Kas, seeking out the mysterious Cats of Ultharr in the dreamlands, or addressing the immediate threat of one of Vecna's orbs. During their discussion, they also learned of a special dream-protection Potion that could be crafted using ingredients found within a Yuan-ti Temple. After weighing their options, the group was teleported to a dense Southern Jungle in search of white resin. They were well-equipped for their journey, having received several useful items including a bismuth stone for communication, a portable alchemy and herbalism set, and a special monocle to guide them to their destination. Moving stealthily through the jungle for about an hour, enhanced by a Pass Without Trace spell, they discovered an ancient temple structure adorned with snake motifs and surrounded by dangerous lava pits. Upon entering the temple, they were immediately confronted by a fearsome Snake-Headed Creature, forcing them into combat. The battle that ensued was fierce and treacherous, with the party facing off against formidable Stone Statues that possessed the ability to breathe lava and deliver devastating melee attacks. The group employed various tactical maneuvers and spells, including Wall of Fire and Steel Wind Strike, while carefully navigating the hazardous room filled with lava pits. Barlo channeled his rage abilities effectively, while his companions coordinated their attacks with precision. The climactic fight reached its conclusion when Sas struck the decisive blow against a massive statue, causing it to crumble into pieces as the surrounding lava cooled and transformed into gleaming Obsidian.Scenes

15 days. No. I'm sorry. Five days. If you. Find.
---
There is not huge.
Hey. Check you. Yeah. So, next game, Veronica and Sam are going to be on a cruise. So if you. And if all four of us are available, though, we could probably, finish, try to see if we can finish up the, West marches. Okay. So, I mean, two weeks from now. Yeah, but there's the some 21st, I think.
Yeah, it sounds about right. There. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. That's good.
All right. The only thing you really miss so far, I was I was kind of, letting Veronica, know kind of what her character was up to. She was trying to find a, that she recalled seeing some, formula that might be helpful. So she was able to find a formula for, thing called a.
Bomb of uninterrupted dreams. And the. She thinks that everything's pretty accessible. The only thing that you guys really need to make it is what's, these leaves that are used to make white resin? It's a she was able to also discern and recall that the white resin is a, like a narcotic that's used by the one tea to kind of like, create the, like, brainless slaves, if you will.
Sorry. Brainless, employees with no pay. Politically correct. Employees. But they'll pay politically correct for slave labor. T o m.
That's all that she really knows about those that that these people tend to have, like the leaves that they create this, white resin. And if you guys get that, though, you guys can make a, potion that every time you take it, it gives you at least five days of uninterrupted will. It will allow you to take your rest and not, be in any danger that so it'll give you guys some time to, kind of do whatever you need to do or whatever before.
So that in fact ends up constantly pulling you guys into his little, domain. I should also say that the, potion, though you can decide to allow yourself to be, I guess available for it if you wanted to. So you have a lot more control over that instance about that kind of situation. And you, if, like, all of a sudden things are going bad and you're doing you can with an action kind of like protect yourself again and take yourself out of it.
So just heads up on the mechanics of that. It's it's we got everybody here.
Let's start with a reminder. Since some of us haven't played in over a month.
I did put the, the URL for the notes from last session, but, currently you guys are still in thorn wings. Giving your guys's crew some time, so they can gain the morale. So that way you guys can continue on your journey for best. A goddess who had long ago, given you guys a precious orb that holds an entire world frozen in its final moments.
It's an artifact that you guys had heard is, possibly could for ether is Monday. And until that day, it seems that many have sought after this item, including one powerful lich believed to be dead for some time now. But it seems to be a part of him has been hiding in the dream of planes, has been pulling your party into this personal plane for the past few nights as he seeks to take this orb from you.
You've also been made aware. Oh wait. You guys made him aware of your presence. And, you're placing these things when you guys were investigating the flying Tower, and you guys had started picking up information about a lost species of a spellcaster as the spell weaver. These, six armed creatures that have been erased from all places and and knowledge.
It seems that fact that's involved in that with some very powerful magics. You also learn that there's a connection between Thoros Macklin, the Macklin orb of Toril, which you guys learned has disappeared. Jacoby, who? You've had many run ins with Bargo and Wizard of Mystery that that you guys ran into, way back when. Underneath a skull, a veil and a mysterious ziggurat that happened to be dedicated to tourism.
And, of course, Koba, a wizard who is somehow hiding within bastion and finally gained enough power to escape from him. According to this voice. In your dreams, possibly. Definitely. You learn some other things which may or may not be true. Calliope had learned that your mother was, in a four in a group that she thinks is a force for good, and that Garm has become an agent of darkness.
But this voice confessed that the fight between the ashlar and the Bogan is really just a part of the Blood War, the longest war ever that has raged since near the beginning of time. A war between the demons and devils, a fight of lore versus chaos. Fashion really is the secret. Barlow learned that the dragon within him may have come from Captain Macklin, and that Captain Macklin may have long been manipulating him.
He also used some of his dream points, though, to stave off something horrible from happening. Sass learned that the I for who she had, admirers may also be the one that advised her father to leave, and it might have been for selfish reasons. She was also told that if she dropped off the orb with the doom dreamers, then these dreams would stop.
Shadow learn that best wants her, and possibly the whole party to sacrifice something to help her. Feral. Bast has put all of this into motion for her own purposes. And you were told about the Doom dreamers and how just by giving them the orb, that it would stop these dreams. This morning, you guys woke up, talked about your dreams, and then you guys did some shopping and some town activities.
Shadow was copying a tattoo from Barlow. You still need, three more hours. You've done three hours so far. Did I tell you the DC for that or. Or what did you write down in DC for that? No, I don't think I did. Barlow, do you remember what your tattoo, like the the size. And I think it's a small.
Yes. That's intricate. Right. It is. It is a, move we have here. It is. It is, is.
Just my notes. Smaller. Nate? Yes, smaller. Nate. Okay, give me a second and just double check this.
I meant to write that down. I've got to.
See, all the DC is fine because you're willing. But I thought that that applied to it as well.
Or did that, came into play, didn't it? I thought the DC went up. Yeah, there it is. I think.
Two hours and 50 pieces. This amount increases by two.
Or maybe it. That doesn't change it. Then I guess I thought it did.
Versus willing or not willing? Well, the willing or the. That's just makes it five. But I thought the size and or. Nate, let's change the DC to copy.
But I think that just changes. Maybe that just changes the cost and time.
So yeah I think if DC is just five but I think you had one failure. I forget what the rules were. I broke down just DC. And then I think I passed three checks out of however many. I think the. Maybe it was three checks. Okay. It's five. So. Yeah.
So you just need, just one more success, really? But three, three more hours and one success, and then you'll have it done. Herbalism. I just did that with, Veronica. The potion will protect any harmful effects in your dreams and protect, and protect you from others. Can be willed to be draw, though, as as well as back up there.
The protected period of time, which is the five days that takes an action.
That hasn't happened yet.
Yeah. That's it. So you were copying that Barlow was the one being copied, and then, you guys went off and, there were some shopping trips with, Calliope getting some shinies and powders. Barlow had an incident on the docks, and they bribed the guard. And learned that you guys need to be careful about weapons and magic when you guys are in the city.
And I feel like there was. Oh, yeah. And you guys got, Shadow bought a bag of tricks.
And I think that's it. So as a bag of tricks, wooden figures and an enormous. Oh.
So we'll say it's like, early afternoon. As you guys were heading back to the ship. Is there anything else you guys would like to do right now?
Like so. Not on my end. I think we're headed back. Yeah. You guys were headed back towards the ship as you guys, were heading back towards the ship.
You're.
Second.
What's your what's your perception? Shadow and bastion. Passive. Passive 22.
And. Barlow. What's yours? 0603. My passengers. Right. Yeah. This is a better one. Oh. Yeah. My passive is 60. Okay. So as you guys are heading back towards the ship, shadow, you happened to see a gentleman? Actually going up the, the walk towards the ship. You notice from this distance with your cat like eyes, a, a gentleman looks like he's kind of balding with a, a short, kind of like a little goatee.
The face looks kind of actually familiar to degree. It was a face that you remember seeing, actually kind of on the cover of a book, and it looks kind of like, the character, by the. Looks like the person you saw in the book whose name was Morton Conan.
Elbow. Barlow. Hey, hey, what's that guy?
Do that guy over there. The goatee. Yeah, I see him.
Dude, was that the book? No, that wasn't the the one. You remember the book? I think it's called, like, more than something. I do not remember that book. It's. It was the book that, had the, it was actually written by this or like that or it was her name. It was the one that actually had the, the, like, mansion attached to it.
And that was that book. Yeah, yeah, the book that exploded almost. It, that the, books on the tower. Doesn't that look like the guy that was on the cover? Oh, convey. What's it look like? Human looking? Yeah. He's human, bald, with a goatee, dark hair? I believe so. He looks actually younger than he looked on that cover.
To be fair. You see, I'm talking right now to the, the captain. And at this point, the, the captain looks over and sees you guys and points that in your direction. Before I figure, what's going on there? SAS, I assumed would be in her study in her room, studying as she's coming up to the knowledge Bastion and Calliope.
Where would you guys be right now? I kind of forget where we left off. You're on the ship? Yeah, but, like, where were you? Where specifically? There was no where specifically at that time. Now you would you would come back from, buying your, shinies. Okay.
Yeah, she would probably just be, I don't know, like, practicing stuff. Maybe on the top deck. Okay. Bastion.
I can't hear you here. You got. It's happening again. You. I would most likely be reading one of the books. But. But what would you say? You would be on the ship then? Do you want to be in the room, or do you wanna be in the captain's, little core, reading library? Yeah.
The captain's little library area. So I guess you would, I'd like to search. What other books are there? Yeah, we could do that real quick. Is there anything specifically you're looking for or, kind of something on, like, magic and dreams and whatnot, trying to figure out, like, why is this guy able to enter our dreams?
Okay, go ahead and give me an investigation. Check that investigation.
What what I wrote, I didn't even see it in 11.
I'm going to use my researcher. All right.
Somebody have a fan? I know, here's something like a little bump, bump, bump, bump clicking like a thumping sound.
So I don't hear anything near the other. There it is. Oh, now I hear it. Somebody's cat on their lap.
That's something with Barlow. This is the one that keeps going green when it goes off. With me. Yeah. It's like I don't want to. I swear. It's subtle. Yeah, I might just be your connection. Yeah, I guess it might be in the chapel I'm connected to. Well, my glasses, should she? The.
Yeah. She lighting up here. That's weird. Especially when you talk. So.
Second hand.
Sensitivity on it. Maybe it's a microphone or something. You could.
So say, you find a book called, First book you come across. It's called Moonlit Pathways. Navigating this. Would you go?
Navigating the realms of dreams and illusions.
As you're looking at it, it looks like the author's name is hello in dusk. Weaver.
You see, the. She seem to have been a renowned seer, a dream walker from the ethereal reaches of the fey, wild, seems like she talks about how she was able to traverse dreams and weave illusions. Paths that, many fear to tread. She had wisdom and talent for interpreting dreams that made her sought after from many, mortals.
And phase, the book is bound and deep indigo leather, cover has, it's adorned with shimmering silver filigree that resemble starry constellations. There's like a moonstone class that holds it close, though, it's kind of what made it stand out was most of the books actually here are kind of pretty normal or don't really have the class as much, but this one actually has a class one, and so it kind of stood out.
The pages, as you open it up, it's to be crafted with like some like the parchment. It's like very soft and almost luminescent in a way. There's like, swirling, intricate patterns. And, some of them actually seemed to shift a little bit in dance. And as the light kind of hits them, pretty much. So as you're kind of going through the book, you're seeing that it looks like it's a kind of a guide for people that want to do dream walking.
Even goes into some, maybe some techniques to navigate these mysterious realms. There's a lot of poetic prose, though, and enchanting illustrations. Go ahead and give me, an investigation check or intelligence or an investigation. I'll let you do either one. The. I'm going to do intelligence 27. I'm so smart.
So as you're kind of going through here.
You see that there? You find, actually there's a kind of, as the light hits the pages, right? Right. It almost gives you a map to a place, which is? It says it's called the Dream Weaver's Glade.
It says that this is a sacred place where dreams can take form and aspirations can be realized as what it says.
But it was, kind of concealed within, like an elaborate illustrations. So it's kind of hard. They're kind of like it took you a little while to find it.
But it looks like to to get there, you'd have to be back in, school of veil is actually where it looks like that. There's a, it's somewhere in that area.
But yeah, that's what you're able to find so far was you went through that book, and as you were kind of going through that, we'll have that where, you do notice outside, there's the A bald gentleman with a goatee who's talking to the captain, pointing off to the, the deck and, Not sure why the captain decided not to point at Calliope, but saw the two walking up, and that's the ones that he pointed at.
And now we know where everyone's at. We will say.
The. He will wait for, He's he's standing there waiting for you to to get back onto the ship. He's not in on our ship, though, right? He's he's these on the deck. Like he was walking up the, the ramp, and then he talk to the captain that was on the deck near the ramp. Okay, I will, elbow shot him a little bit.
Oh, Razia, you take off running. Cheetah, run after him.
As you guys catch up, the gentleman, there's his throat. So I finally get a chance to meet you.
Who is the wrestler who is a? My name is, Morton Cannon. Kind of. Sort of. I will explain that in a moment. First, I would like to be able to talk to the whole party. If I could.
The rest of your party here, or do we need the minimum, tavern or. Sure. That's, within the, meeting room, I guess. Yeah. We can go with the. Where? Actually, the meeting question is to, like, captain's. Yeah, let's go there. My understanding is that that would be a very safe place to talk as well.
Yeah. Gather Calliope on deck. I'm a as you enter the into the room. He is he starts to to to greet each one of you and says, my name is, Well, I go by the name morning, Conan. I am, what is known as a simulacrum. Looks at, bastion. Knowing that person should understand what that term means.
If Sam doesn't, I can, I think, evolve and send me, like, as a, as a spell that, allows you to pretty much create, like, clones of yourself. In fact, actually, most of you guys have already seen a simulacrum. That's what Jacoby, when he would melt those. Because those are simulacrum. I know the words on a familiar, the first thing I need.
Well, here, let me explain things to you guys. You guys have been involved with a gentleman named Macklin. I think some of you might know him as grog nard. Some of you guys might know him as, paradox. Those are, like, the main names that he usually goes by.
I come from another world, and him and I kind of have had opportunities over time to meet. Well, I should say my master has had many interactions with him, and they both have set up, what's called, a type of contingencies, if you will. And, if anything was to seriously happen to one of them, the similar terms of the others would come to their universe and help them, which is what brought me here.
Who's your master? The the real, Got it. Who? Just for containment. Yeah. More than ten. Sorry. My master Damien. Just, just one blink. More than Kanan. So he created me as it was created many other simulacrum over time. Oh, okay. Okay, okay, I get what you're. I get what you're saying. I thought you meant that more than Kanan had him.
Master. No, no, no, no, I meant I do, in the sense that we were. I was one of many created and put into a, into, like, a, a resting state, this, if you will, and certain triggers, kind of when they occur, would waken us and kind of jettison us where we were needed. They're not the only ones that have these arrangements.
It comes in handy when you get kidnaped by, or disappear or find yourself in any other types of dangers. In this case, going through the codes and trying to figure out, what the situation might be. My question for you, first of all, is, there should be a code name that you guys were given a code word.
Yeah. Yeah. With, obs. Okay. Send it to me afterwards. Okay. I'm gonna try something. Okay. Yeah. Grignard paradox. Macklin, he should have given you guys, codename a name. Some type of word to to be used to, pretty much let me know which prophecy the rundown and what what the problem is.
And that worries me. If you guys don't know, we're never given that name.
I don't recall any code word. Although I don't really know Macklin.
Say that again, Sean. There was a name that, you should have gotten at some point. It would have been something that he would have given some importance to as a trigger for me to know, how I could be of assistance to you.
Well, but if you guys. Did he actually give us one? Did you actually give us. What are you asking that? Yeah. Yes. Yes. Just. Well. Hell yes. Check my notes or, be my other notebook. I will let you. Us. I will let the smartest individual in the room, who would have been the one that I believe is the one that was told this.
Go ahead and give me, an intelligence or history check. Sam.
27 I remember. Well, let's see here. Oh. Day. Give me a second. I'm gonna try something.
Okay. Yeah. You you do recall a conversation where you were told a certain name and that it was the key, and it was then da.
If that's why, it's. At some point you guys started using yelling. That was one of the names that you guys yelled. Actually, when you guys went to the house.
But that had this. Oh, or with arrows. This was actually given to you by crock guard.
What was his name again? Dan? The night serpent. Dan. The night serpent. Yeah. That one says he already knows a lot about. So, yeah, I'm guessing you said the name that. Yeah. And you say, Yes. Okay. So as you say the words, you see him like. Oh, okay. He sits down, pulls out a, pulls out a book, and then he pulls out a little notebook next to it, and then you see him pull out a, a red gem.
And as he's kind of using the red gem, it kind of starts floating above the first book, and he starts taking notes down on the, other book. It seems that, He's trying to decode something based on you given him that word, and as you do so, he, kind of starts realizing and says, okay, so I think I have a little bit of idea of what could have happened out of a few different possibilities.
But I think in the end, it looks like, you guys have a problem with, Vecna. And if that's the case, I can offer you guys a couple solutions. But I can't tell you what you have to do. Yeah, yeah. So you can offer us solutions, but you can't tell us what to do. I mean, I can't tell you which one is the the best one to do, or I guess.
How do I explain this? With your friend, you can tell us what to do, but you can't tell us what to do. I can give you. Well, it seems like there's a few different options. That's what he's saying. But there's. There's a couple different options that I can help you. I can assist you kind of poking guys in the right directions.
But I can't tell you which one to do. That's up to you guys. My understanding is that he's put a lot of faith into you guys. You guys were one of the few adventuring groups that he's, really kind of tried to support. And, has had a lot of faith in.
So on the Bitcoin notes real quick here, he says.
So I know that there's a couple artifacts that might come in handy for you guys. There is the, the sort of cars.
This is, a sword that was once held by,
The, I guess the the one of his most, one of vector's most prized generals. And he ended up revolting, actually, against Vecna. He's actually responsible for one of the first major deaths of Vecna. But there is a he has a sword that many believe might be useful. There are the cats of author who could assist you guys.
At, These are mysterious cats that, wander through the dreamland and, they might be able to assist you in some way. There's, you're on mute. I ask them if I could find them in that place that I just read about. You say you bring up the, the moonlit pathways? I'm not much.
I'm not gonna lie that that's not my fault of today. Give me a second here.
The moon, the pathways. Honestly, I like, I only know a little bit about the the dreams scape and the dream lands, so I don't know how related they are. Actually, it's possible. But I might be able to to help you find these cats. If you want to use them and see what they might be able to help you with.
There's a evil way you can kind of handle them, which is, if you were able to find the orb of all worth.
The,
What, worth is a, is a world where Vecna originally came from. And if you were to find the orb for his world, I'm sure that he would probably leave you guys alone. But then again, it would be no different than giving him the orb seeking from you. It's just would be a different realm. And I think you want to keep the orbs away from him, don't we?
At all costs. And I'm giving you options. I'm not saying they're all the best or most, good or lawful, options.
I mean, granted, if you guys want to risk going into the plane of pandemonium, you can find his, citadel of cavities. But that would be a very dangerous journey. Like.
If you knew where the. His actual hand and I were. I'm sure he's seeking those out, actually. And he starts looking at his notes. It's like, oh, I see those. I've been destroyed. Never mind. I see that it looks like he's trying to get through using some other hand. Okay, I guess if you really want to go dangerous, too, there's another obelisk that holds a dark creature, which, yes, you would be unleashing that on the road, but it might go after him.
Might not by as evil, but actually along the same lines. And actually, yeah, that might not be a bad idea to is, somehow being able to direct Ender to that plane, then Dar would probably eat him as he's living in the, plane of Dreams. And that negative energy would definitely fuel him.
Those are some ideas that, that I was kind of according to the prophecies that you can go down.
I mean, I will always choose cats, but. And, of course, that's. I can help you guys craft a, potion that could help protect you, when you guys go to sleep. So that way he doesn't, continue to pull you in, but that only works for so long.
Yeah, but that might help us. At least in the meantime, trying to figure one of these things out. Yeah, I agree. Okay. So are these items meant to be. To destroy him or just to keep him at bay? What is the purpose of these? Well, so it's that's the point is that, if you find the sort of chaos it might be helpful in destroying him.
So that would be a weapon you can use to actually kill him. The cats of author might have other means of, of helping, the orb of all would only kind of. Well, that would be the same as giving him the orb that he wants from you already. But as I understand it, according to the prophecy, that orb is already,
It's a is supposed to be going to somebody else. So that's my that's my understanding is that's one of the hesitations you guys have had about giving him that. But there might be other reasons, too. I. Don't think we want to give him an orb. Yeah. What was what's the aspect of giving him another orb? What's this supposed to do?
Well, I mean, if you want to know. The truth is that if he gets one of these orbs, he'll. He'll be able to finish the,
The ritual of what he's trying to perform. And pretty much, I'm taking the power of the six that were separated from the spell weaver, he would be able to pretty much come back. That's what he's trying to do. Using the, those who were separated. So that is not a good option. I didn't say it was a great option.
I'm putting the options on the table for you.
That was a terrible option. Then we will make sure we don't go down that option. That road. So what I would suggest, and if you don't want to go down that road, is if there's a way of trying to to, I guess, attract Ender in that, dream plane would be a helpful way. About these cats of Luthor.
Yes. What is there? What is their plan in this way? What's the effectiveness of being with them? You just go find them and talk to you. That's. The thing is, I don't know. The cats are the, They are cats that I guess have a major. I don't want to say civilization, but they seem to exist all throughout the dreamland.
And, sometimes they can be. You think they might be potential allies? Just possibly. Are they cats like us or like. Oh, yeah. Yeah, that's a good point. It looks at you and Barlow. No, these are actually more like, alley cats and house cats types. So dependable ones like, like wear cat type of cats.
I don't believe they turn into humanoids, as far as I know. I mean, I will admit, once again, this gets into the edge of my knowledge on this. My understanding, it's all right to kind of lay it out a little bit more for you guys. I'm sure by now you guys have picked, heard a little bit about what's called the Draconic Prophecies.
Yes. The draconic prophecies are a lot of different things, but sometimes they're used as a code for great wizards like us to send messages across, different. Planes or realms? And, and, for example, right now I'm able to translate based on certain key things, such as the fact that I was the symbolic room that woke up.
And so that gives me an advantage on knowing which prophecies might have some value to assisting. Who's using the prophecy in this case? It's, your friend Macklin. Doesn't mean I have all the knowledge about all the things that that leads down.
But these cats, as far as I understand that those, they exist both here and there, and kind of go back and forth as they want. The story goes, is that there was a, a village where nobody was nobody was allowed to kill the cat. There was a law, in fact, saying that. And, prior to that law, there were those in the village that delighted in killing cats until they went too far.
And all the cats in that village then disappeared for several days, during which time that those responsible for the crimes against the feline race also disappeared. So after the villages cats return, they were well fed and they kind of made a law saying nobody may kill a cat for any reason. That is the milk that, cats evil, thorough.
Sounds reasonable. Yeah, but as I get behind that, they come back and forth between now the, the dream lands and the material plane and that can be quite powerful in their own way. And but obviously they, they have their own concerns. But if there's somebody like Vecna that's kind of trying to manipulate the dream Lands, I'm sure they they could be an ally.
So they would be more like a distraction. Protection, sort of. They're not going to be of aid. And if we try to go, the destroy Vecna route is what I understand. Right? They would, if anything, they might have knowledge of something that might assist you. But, yeah, I don't see them helping you fight something like Vecna.
No, as far as I understand it.
You. So all of these three options, which directions would you be pointing us toward if we said we want to go find this sort of task? What do we start? Having no idea. I know where the knowledge might be held. I don't know where the sword is, but I know, I know some locations where you might be able to find the information.
What I would probably do is, I will send you to a location that will assist you. That should assist you. I should say, I will also give you a, a stone. So that way, if you need to come back, I can bring you back quickly, and. But unfortunately, I won't be able to travel with you.
My my task here is merely to give you information you guys didn't have before. In a sense, helping, Paradox.
DM question. Do we have a timeline? Like, it's obviously we want to try to take care of and before anything else, I'm assuming. But is it like it as of right now? End of world scenario. So right now, as far as timelines go. You've been told by as far as like Bast, she's told you guys to to gain and power before you visit her.
So there is no actual rush in that. Yeah. She hasn't said, I need you here now. She kind of directed you that way. As far as Victor's concern, you're not sure at this point how much time you have yet? There has, what you have seen is that he's getting impatient, though, and that he has been trying to pull you guys into his thing and and, he's seen.
Sounds like he's getting a little desperate. He wants he needs that orb, and that's all he needs. But right now, that's the only knowledge you guys have. So if he's down to one orb, it feels sort of, It's the word I'm looking for. Imperative? Yes, sure. That one. That he doesn't get another one? Yes.
Yes. I think I'm a Jamie reader. My brain doesn't work as of late. It's okay. Neither does mine. Well, Or, All together we have two brain cells.
Well, I just figure out why the orb option. What would we do? What? We we would collect it before him and then destroy it. You know, let's just let's not go down that path. The more that I talk to you guys, the more I worry about that path. It was a. Oh, you are going to tell us what to do?
No, I mean, like, I said, I have to be very careful in not pushing you guys one way or another. This has to be a decision you guys make. The orb, though, would just be. It would get them off your back. I guess is the best way of putting it. Yes, he probably would be.
He would come back evil, and he would probably try to take over the world. A lot of that, and, my job here merely is to present you what the options are. And for you as the adventures that you are and the faith that paradox has put into you guys. So McClean has put into you guys that that should hopefully be the best option.
Hands like this, toward what are you guys thinking? It's like the sword might be the best option. Our options are getting a weapon and fighting physically. Maybe head on. Well, he doesn't exist physically yet, though, right? But when he does have a sword to take him out, well, that would be. The thing is that if you have that sword, you would be able to probably attack him before he is physical, before he comes back in.
Generally, he'd be. Yeah. I mean, your items tend to go with you in your dream selves. So if we had if we had the sword, then we could then transport ourselves into the dream world to fight him, is what you're saying. Before he can manifest in our world. Correct? I mean, more than likely, unless he gets that orb, if you're going to fight him, it's going to be in the dream.
Planes. Or we can make cat friends. They can make can alter how they can help you. And they're in the dream world anyways, so it doesn't affect any pathway we're currently on where we're headed and who's still had on direction. Yeah, we can always get the sword and make cat friends. Well, the cats probably know where the sword is.
Be used or how to how to get access to the coming out through our dreams in the 1320s. Consequences to their entire lives. Maybe it'll give us access to one who shows up and how to locate them, and they're not going to be attacked. Well, there's there's ways of staving off to I mean, like I said, I, I knows and I know of a potion you guys can make which will, yeah, we'll need that potion.
Definitely. Didn't sass just I wasn't just able to make that same potion. He doesn't know that. Yeah, well, what potion is it that you're talking about? It goes by a few different names, but, I think in your realm, it would be called the, Barn of Uninterrupted Dreams. A bomb. You can make that bomb. Well, I know how to make it, the the most complicated ingredient you'll need is,
Leaves that the one to use to create their white resin. But I do know where you can find a one tea temple.
All right, one tea, in fact, maybe more than likely most of the options you take, you're going to find yourself in a one tea temple. Is that where the sword is? Not the sword, but the knowledge of where the sword is? Like I said, I don't know where the sword is, but I know the best place to find the information for it.
And unfortunately, in your realm, a lot of it comes down to the wants. The, not sure how much you know about the wants, but they are a very evil reptilian race and not friendly. They tend to hoard knowledge. They tend to, hoard what they can, hoping that one day they will be able to, appease the great serpent and, take over pretty much the ruled kind of thing.
They are one of those kind of groups. In fact, that's kind of why, dendro was so important. This is that then there is one of the many gods is the main, snake god that they tend to worship through the cattle. I don't know anything about the one two. I would imagine that they would probably have some knowledge.
Once again, my personal knowledge, I can only see how much knowledge he might actually have. My personal knowledge, though with the cats is very limited. The cats would know about the sword, though, right? It's possible. Well, I'm just thinking if we're going to go against the wall, maybe we should know a bit more about them.
Yeah. Danger, I can, I mean, I can help you. I can tell you about the one team. That is one of the things that I do have knowledge about. They are both in your realm and my realm. And I've had, my own personal dealings with them.
Guess how can we keep them from enslaving us?
Don't get captured, I guess would be the best way. Usually the. When they enslave people, it usually comes down to 1 or 2 things. Is they capture you, or they, They find they manipulate people into joining. Sometimes it's done with, that white resin. There's a which they make, which is actually part of the ingredients for this, farm.
There's a leaf that grows in, some of their places. A lot of times it grows actually out of larva. But this plant, they turn it into this narcotic that they use to keep people loose, pliable, if you will, and, addicted. It's, It's. I need that white resin in order to make the bulb under,
Well, the good thing with that is that most of their temples, if any of their temples have, Lava or close to magma. It should grow in those ones. And in fact, I know of a few of them that do, so that'll help me kind of zero in on where the send you.
Are you think?
Oh, that sounds good. I like your idea of more commission help them so let's go caps first, then. Monte, give me a second. Actually, she's, ask. Okay. Same with those cats. I'm sure she does. Votes cats. She says I. She'll go with whatever you guys decide.
I mean, what we need here, you I can hear you. You can hear him through me. I mean, I'm gonna make up a song. Let's put it this way. We need to go see the cats to figure out some other options, but, getting the potion, I think is going to be the most important thing that we do.
Because what happens if, in our dreams, while we are trying to get to the cats, something happens?
With them, I'm like, does that make sense? It does. I mean, I want to, I want to I want to meet these cats, but.
Not at the expense of one of us getting hurt.
I'm also examining this guy, seeing if he's like, yeah, on the level, of course. Give me an insight check.
Off. I can't tell anything. These are just totally telling us, what else? They. So here, let me do this. I I'm. Yeah. He seems hard to read, so you can't tell if he's trying to hold back on anything. Yeah, I'll just leave it there, because that rule.
Would you mind if our friend, sort of touched you with her glove? That glove doesn't have a glove. Would you mind if our friend just touched you on the shoulder? No. I'm familiar with what's supposed to happen with that. That's fine. He takes off, his notice now that he was wearing black leather gloves. He takes one off and he puts his hand out.
You have six fingers. Does he have six fingers? No.
I do not see six fingers at this time. Take his hands. All right, let's do a,
Let's do let's do wisdom. Yeah. Okay. You see here I made the window bigger. There it goes. You wisdom.
For me, doing.
Stuff. All right. So time once again kind of slows down for you.
As you as you touch his hand, you see,
We're going to have it so that you see the first days for him where you see a pile of ice and you see, a gentleman that looks very much like the individual in front of you carving into ice. That's laying on a table. So it looks like he's creating like a humanoid laying on this table. And then he casts some spells and you see that the ice then turns into him.
From there, you see him kind of, taken to another place and put into a rest. He's like, put into a little crystal and then put up on a shelf. And as he's put up on the shelf, though, you see the original, wizard more than King and talking now to Grignard. This version actually would kind of say that it's the version of Macklin you saw when you guys were underneath school of L, a younger version of him.
And then you can't really pick up what they're saying, but you can see that they're talking. And then from there, you see a vision now where the orb that is holding this Similac and cracks and as it cracks, the simulacrum comes back to life. He's tiny, and then he kind of grows and becomes a full individual.
From there, you see that, he's kind of studying and for the most part, everything that he seems to have told you seems to be true, that you're picking up the idea that this was a contingency, that these two wizards have set up, that in certain circumstances, certain things will happen that will allow them to send a simulacrum to the other's universe to help save them in some way.
It seems that he has all the knowledge that he was kind of ingrained with from the original. So that's how he's able. He didn't have to, like, learn anything. It's just that it was already pre knowledge. I think that would be pretty much the main things that you can do enough to the point that you can see that he's been pretty honest about everything he's talking about and that, that's kind of yeah, it's a strange thing that Wizards can do to to help protect themselves.
Yeah. I relate all that to the rest of the group, to. He's cool. He.
All right. So now it's just up to us guys. Or rhythm?
How long is it going to take for us to get to the cap? Do we know that? Yeah. To get the cap. We don't even know what they are. You will have to.
You will have to kind of get some materials and, try to see if you can communicate to them as what it comes down to.
What do you think is, easier? Okay. The, dream potion stuff or trying to get to the cats? Honestly, I don't know. To get the potion stuff, you will have to fight. You will have to go to one of these, wanted temples, and they will be guarded. But in each one of these temples, you'll be able to find the information for, one of these artifacts, depending on which artifact you want to to, to look for.
The, to get the cats, you will have to obtain a few items and then hope that you're able to contact the cats and that they are willing to come to you. The cats of All Star are as fickle and selfish as. And apologies to those in the room. That how but how some cats can be, if you know what I mean.
If I can.
So we're still in town. So the things we need to get, we can probably procure, I assume. Well, you'll have to go to, for one, you'll have to go to a very special place to find some very special milk. Special milk and milk there. Cats were very special. This is taking a whole different direction. Who or what?
What does it mean? Wow. I didn't mean, like, it's actually, it's actually comes from a seed. It's it's not like milk. Milk. It's, it's more like coconut milk kind of, thing that it's a delicacy that they that could attract them in certain towns.
Yes. I realized saying the word milk makes it sound like you have to do something a little untoward. And it's not like that.
Yeah. What did I say? Our group. Or disappointed that we bought, Jamie, just help.
Okay, Jamie, we're going to milk you. Oh. No contest. All right, all right. I voted no. I thought this whole conversation was weird.
Although I do don't understand how you would milk a cat if you can't even think of it. Okay, that's pretty much. It was a little bitty ones. I got that reference.
That's where I was going.
All right, so what are we doing, guys?
Cats, right? Yeah, I was saying cat. You're saying things. We do the cats. That's fine. But we need the milk to get the cats, so we gotta do milk first. Milk? Is that also with the one tea temple? Nope. That. Unfortunately. Or actually, I don't know. If you want to get the leaves, you'll have to go to a one tea temple.
The leaves for the milk. I'm not saying you can't get the leaves. Then maybe the leaves for the bomb leaves for the bottom part. Yeah. And the temple is also where we would learn information about the sword. Possibly. Or from the Cadbury complex into one tea temple. Yeah, the one tea temple you'd be able to find. You should be able to find somewhere in there.
Information. But the cats could also give us information. I honestly, I don't know enough about what the what the cats are on this list of opportunities. I my understanding would be that it's because of their connection to the dream planes and.
Okay. I almost think it's better to hit two birds with one stone, so. Well, if we can get the dream potion and information about the sword at the same time versus actually finding the cats and then potentially getting information when we get maybe with bastion on this, it might be worthwhile to try to get the sword first for those reasons that he just said we could get the ingredients information about the sword and then after that, visit the cats to see what they can tell us about getting to Vecna.
If they're in the same dreamscape that he is okay, let's go. I like it awesome. I'm not going to lie. As a DM, I'm glad you guys. What's so paved with cheese? They really did have the cats lion figured out fully. Well, he's like, they're going to take a look at what I wanted to give you guys the options.
So in that case, like I thought I going to get rid of the cats all the time. I'm just trying to figure out which way you want us to go in trying to take the right. Well, I don't I that's the thing is though, I'm trying not I don't I really try he doesn't want to be railroading to.
I want you guys I feel like you guys are making the decisions of where you guys go when this. So. But I also know a lot of times you plan it, you're like, I really hope they go this way. So I'm often trying to figure out what don't like. Trust me, I'm sitting over here. I was starting to put things in motion.
If I had to go down the cats route, you know. It's okay. That's how the game works. But I my biggest goal here is with you guys has been trying not to. Hey here's a railroad. Unless it has to happen right. And I mean it's the same thing even like, I actually had ideas of where you guys were going to go besides Vecna, but when Bastion and Calliope touch those things that they did and kind of access that magic spell, it kind of went down that way.
You should go, guys. I shouldn't want me to do it. So. All right. Wanted you guys want to go check out a one tier temple? If he pulls out a, You guys know what bismuth is, right? I want to. All right. What bismuth smells like in the east. Like in the mineral? Yeah. Like the. Yeah. Multicolored kind of, you know.
That's the work. Excuse me.
You see him pull, he pulls out a stone. What are we out here on the show of the same to you guys?
You absolutely have to be here for now.
Yeah, I'm at Annie now. That song is stuck in my head. Welcome to my life. I just replaced the other song. But it's fine to give you more if you want. No, it's better, like, literally painting and just going through the song the whole time Atticus has been singing it. It's a small world for like a week and a like a world tour.
It was super cute. Well, Sean, setting this up that his all of the second graders did a family tree and they wanted, just up to, like, great grandparents, but they wanted us to list the countries that they were from, if they were from any. And then they were supposed to pick a country from their family tree to do their little project on time.
So it was super cute. So they had a big presentation where they made artifacts and so they sang a bunch of songs. And It's a Small World was one of them. So he's been belting it out this week all week long. Yeah. Oh, okay. Yeah. But he chose Germany and he was really excited because he made a pretzel out of leather and toothpicks.
At the school. Hey, Beth, by the way, give me a d20 real quick. Yeah. Who would? Sweet. Thank you. Another one's. No. Is my thing all messed up again? That was happening to me the other day I was here. Roll it again real quick. Let's see. Like to. You got some high scores already got you. Maybe you should refresh your screen a three, but was like, oh, there we go.
Now I got a d20 there before I, But. Or is that not okay? Maybe you should go to it's real dice, but let's see one. There's a couple 20. That's a lot of ones, though. That's a lot of 22 at the same time. You know, two ones and a 20. Okay, okay. That's pretty random, you know. So close that.
No. There's some something else happened that don't worry about it. It's because you had a one earlier and you lost one of your nine lives. He does give you this bismuth stone, and, says, when you guys need me to pull you guys back here to your ship. Yeah. Just pull out the stone and, and call my name, and, I will bring you instantly back.
So, who would like to have this stone to hold on to?
Kind of go in the bag of holding? It's it's. Yeah. There's no, dangers there. It's not the only time you have to really worry about that. As if, the item you're putting into the bag has anything to do with, multi-dimensional planes. That's where there's a problem. This is more like a, special communicative stone of sorts.
Okay. Have to get another one of those. This ones is very special, though. It's going to for one, it goes right to me. And it also allows me to bring you right back when you're holding it.
You don't happen to have your, spellbook on you, do you? I do not have my spellbook on me. No. Okay. I was going to ask if I could have it. No, unfortunately, that's part of the arrangement I have to be careful with. If I gave you, How do I explain this paradox? Kind of said that if I was to give you and all my spells.
Not to mention I, I only have certain spells. Anyways, I'm a part of the probably the similar items. I can't really learn spells. I can only have the spells. That was pretty much, held on by more than Kanon. The day that he made me. And if you notice, I'm a very young version of modern Kanon.
So once I burn a spell, it's burnt. I will give you this, though, gives us, a wooden piece of board, like it's, about an inch high, about, six. Well, about a foot long and about, half a foot wide. This way. This is a portable, alchemy herbalism lab. Oh.
When you set it down on a on a table, you'll be able to unfold it, and it will have most of the things you will need for your alchemy and herbalism. Crafts. The only thing you will really need is whatever materials are necessary for whatever you're creating.
That's a nice sparkle with excitement. You have a magical, alchemy herbalism lab. Cool. Did you. Did you say you already had some of this balm that we could take before we go? No, I don't have any. I just never happened to know how to make it. But I heard your friend over here saying. I guess that you guys already might have the recipe for it.
So in that case, I'm just helpful in the sense of letting you guys know where the. To find the, the resin, the where the leaves for the white resin. I should say. Okay. The part that I. Yes, the rest of the materials are pretty easy to obtain. It. The, is there anything else you guys need to do before you guys are sent that?
I think. Are you sending us there? Do we need to travel there ourselves? You guys are going to be going to a, a deep jungle that's, very far away. So that's why, for the sake of expediency, I can send you there, and then I will return you when you call me with the crystal. First checks to make sure she has all the other ingredients aside from the white resin.
For the sake of argument, as you're going through, like, you see that you have most of stuff already in your herbalism kit as it is. Most of the other stuff you can pretty much obtain pretty much in the local area here. So it's not a big deal. I'm just thinking if I get there and get the white resin, but I don't have something else that was super easy to get.
That portable lab is no good. You would take it would probably take you only about half an hour if you needed to go off and get some of the other materials that are in the local area. So before we leave, because I didn't get the other materials. Okay. That's actually. Yeah. If they if you need to make sure if you want to get all your stuff and so we can craft up there.
That's perfect. Yes. I.
Awesome. That sounds like, you guys might be able to, to help paradox and deal with all the situation.
What did you just spend?
Oh, that's James, all right. What do I do? Jamie? What did I do? Well, did you plant milk? You know, I'm just crocheting. Okay, that's kind of worrisome. Good grief.
There's 129 just going to alert it's way. Oh. One Apple. Yeah, that's not me. I have to look at that. Kids are buying credit. Somebody is.
To check that out in the morning before for bankrupt. I thought I thought you were because you guys were talking on music. I was like, what? That was weird. $120. Jeez, Louise, hundred and $19 on Apple. It might take it about it. You know what? I bet it is, but I bet you it's, What's it called?
The subscription for, Duolingo. Hundred and $20. Because it's the the family, a yearly subscription with the kids actually started doing it, so it was kind of worth it if the, family is kind of, any. Aren't you on that plan to. Yep. Yeah. 228 days in.
Atticus finally gave up on the Chinese. At least.
We don't want any of our Americans to know Chinese. Then he started learning Japanese. Japanese is okay. Yep. That's what it is. It was Duolingo. Okay, okay, that's kind of worrisome. Sorry. Guys blaming me?
So she goes off, give me, go ahead and do with that advantage. Give me an investigation check. Sass.
She's muted.
Geese and ganders. I went into the kitchen to get myself a drink, and I didn't need you guys hearing all the loud noises with the ice and everything we know, and I'm like, I know I booted. You said investigation. Yeah.
I it takes you actually closer to the 45 minutes, almost an hour till you actually find the last things that you need. Another huge, ordeal. During that time, morning, Ken, and just kind of starts going through his notebooks. Is there anything else you guys would have been doing that our 45 minutes, our.
Just getting us back off. Stressful. Sorry about that. Can't find the thing I need. It's, I'm going to send you guys to a one tea temple. It's going to hold many secrets. And I'm sure that the knowledge for the, sort of cost can be found in there. As you go in there, you will, you should be able to find area at least one area, if not more.
Where in the lava you will see a, a very thick vine kind of growing out of it. It has like a slight bluish glow about it. That's what you want to find is those leaves. And, that's what's going to help you, to make the this potion align with a slight bluish glow. Yeah.
In fact, the best way of doing it would be,
When you cut the vines, I would use their swords to do it. A it will give it A01 wanting. Yeah, yeah, you should find some want in there. They will not be kind. So be prepared to fight. They will not negotiate. But if you are successful, you will be able to find swords that they were using.
And you. I would use those swords to cut the plants. Will it give a better yield? That and less likely of ruining any of your blades. Got it.
Okay. Doing anything else before we go? I know, I think the ship had plenty of time to stock up on their stuff, but. Well, we're not taking the ship, remember? Yeah, yeah, I just realized that, so, as you guys seemed pretty content. You see him, pull out, a blue stone, which, as you realize, it's got like little, like, sparkles in it.
And, it's actually like a type of specialized chalk with these, the dark purple lines all throughout it. And as he starts kind of drawing on the, the ship floor right there, he ends up.
With that, if there's, if he actually has to worry about rolling.
He would know where it is. I think it's a it's 100% if you know where you're going and everything.
Second, here.
Must be known to you. Must be on the same plane level. Okay. I guess after 202 100.
Says to you, has, How's your stealth? Do you have a disadvantage on stealth?
And, no, I am not very stealthy.
I have a plus one.
Was Barlow when I found a. We bought this cloak. Look. And it's supposed to help you be a little bit more quiet. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I bet it would look so good on me. I bet it would do I feel like it's the same kind of green that that matches like the, like in on Your shell.
So I need to like a tune or anything or just wear it. I don't think it was, I don't think it's what's it called. I just wrote down the embroidered cloak and then parentheses stealth. But I think you said that it wasn't, an attuned item. It's a different. So, yeah, I was looking at that and the way it came out off originally, it was a little bit overpowered, because I realized it was too late.
Now. Oh, really? So. So it was a it gives advantage on stealth advantage. Yeah. But then somebody comes in and steals it. The problem with that is that there's a, elf cloak, which is that's all it pretty much does, is give you advantage on stealth scores. Pretty much. And that isn't a tunable item.
So when I decide is that when it says advantage to the stealth, it's going to give you a plus one d6 to your stealth when the hood is on. So it's go time. Yeah, yeah. That's good. Oh, I meant like like, do you have to roll it every single time? I mean, yeah, yeah, that's the thing is that sometimes it might be a give you a better advantage or not.
It's a I must have pay for it, I don't know, 50 gold pieces. Oh. Okay. Then those gold pieces. Yeah. It was not an expensive. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. That too. It wasn't. Yeah, it definitely wasn't, elven cloak without, attunement. Yeah. Cost. Yeah. For 50 gold. Yeah.
For 50 gold, it's a glorified tablecloth, but, Hey, whatever. Is it a bit a little bit of camouflage. It breaks up the silhouette. Yeah. As you were talking to us about this, and the gentleman is finishing up with the circle and doing his spell, he stopped. He pauses the spell. You can see one handed up in the air with it's kind of starting to glow a bit.
He's like, oh. And he pulls out a, like a little monocle and he hands it over to you. Whoever's the closest, whoever puts their hand up first. Anybody for me? Okay, that's in the hand. He sees it. It's like this will help you find the entrance to the, the one I don't. Otherwise, you guys might be, wandering through the jungle for days trying to find it.
It's a good thing I put it on and say, do not pass. Go. As you put the, the monocle on, it kind of. It's you noticing. It's actually got, like, a green kind of, haze to it, but nothing outside of almost like, wearing, like, a green lens right now. It's the only change.
You see right now, as he hands it to you. He then puts his hand down, finishes the ritual. The circle that is was lit. Lights up and he says, okay, go. Oh, we go. Okay. And in that time, that prep time of getting a few binders that we let the crew know about all this shit, and I get, you know, there you go.
Yeah. That's an advantage. Later, guys. Yeah, it's. Yeah. No worries. What we'll say is that, they tell you that. No worries. They're still kind of just enjoying their, leave. Yeah. And looking to see what deals, any transportation, opportunities that may arise when you guys are ready. And we'll just leave it at that.
We grabbed, I, I was the captain or the cloak. Oh, yeah. Try to find some, like, expensive and, rare meat. Something unique to this area. Plus. Okay, I mean, we still have, like, the dragon meat and, Yeah. Good time. Dragon. You, I'll see what I can do. I can only have three hourly.
Do you have a budget for that? Yes. No, just just know whatever you can find over about, I say I'll cover you. Okay? You'll I can do like. No, we have, like, some. We have coffers. Right. At least, don't we? Give them like you guys paid like, the the first. Like, I think it was a month's rate.
And then it was kind of like. It was kind of determined, though. We'll kind of wait and see what happens after that. Like if you guys didn't use the ship, then they would take off. That's, make you some revenue. And that way they could pretty much pay their own wages. Well, that way. Okay. Then, and sometime then we probably would have set up, a small comfort for the captain to have a lockbox or whoever keeps it, and he'd be in charge of this.
Well, you know, expense, expenditure money. I would have. I would have thrown 50 plan in there, so. Okay. If had had that. So they got 500 go to work. All right. I will dig up what happened. You guys all right. And with that, you guys find yourselves, instantly teleported out into the middle of a jungle.
The. It actually seems like you're probably a little bit earlier in the day. And then you were there. But don't quote me on that. I'm gonna work a little bit right now. You went back to the to travel north. We traveled north. Well, that was better with east and west. Oh, yeah, it would be an earlier, the brothers, when in fact, they kind of.
Which you guys were on the Northern hemisphere. It was a winter or close, like. Yeah, it was winter fall. Yeah. It's actually pretty warm here. So it's probably actually on the southern hemisphere. I should have had to do a survival check to figure that out, but that's fine. Actually, yeah. Let me scramble for survival checks, actually, with you guys out in the middle of the jungle.
Actually, let's do it this way. Survival or, survival nature or what's the what? The best one thing and perception. So. Perception for sure.
24 perception. No.
So as you look around, yeah. You guys are in the very thick jungle. You guys realize you guys are probably in the southern hemisphere? As it's a bit of the sun comes through the canopy, but it's so thick. But you're able to still, like, kind of, with those very nice scores outside of SAS. Oh, actually, that was a different role,
No, my score was so like, you guys were able to pick up enough to to realize that. Yeah, it's earlier in the day. So you guys probably went further east as well. And to the south of where you guys, were previously, with bastion, as you're now looking, you see, kind of a, a slight little it looks like a little mist trail kind of leading the way to where you need to go.
You guys do end up spending about an hour, though, traversing through the jungle due to the fact that the, teleport spell did not get you as close as the as he had hoped. I feel like we should go pretty stealthy if we can. And then let me get some stealth checks. Then we should. Wait. To what?
Some. How do I check my stealth now? So if you're wearing the cloak, you'll do, a stealth check, and then you'll, roll a one d6 and add that to it.
You want to cast pass without a trace? Yeah.
Next time, try that. Call it before the stealth scores come here. I know, I know, I wasn't thinking I could have you guys just reroll the stealth to see, but, that's fine. 21 was really, it's all good stealth scoop. So you guys pretty good. And then with the as you, mark the, spell, though, there are a few times as you guys are wandering through, though, you do see, various,
Wildlife. There's a point early on where you do see a, a very slick kind of black cat, but with, like, these green stripes on it. But but for a moment, it looks over in your direction, like, with its nose in the air. And then, like a slightly confused look on its face as it doesn't, it's not able to see you.
You notice also, there's a few, like, various, like, bird sounds throughout the area. But as you guys are following this mysterious trail that Bastian can see with the monocle, you start noticing there's less of those sounds, there's less of the movements, and, it's a little more quieter in this area, as you guys do come upon, a large chip, picture up there.
What is it that.
You want to do with that kind of cool little picture for you?
With that? No. Look it up in.
How big was this cat with green stripes? Like, it was like, trying to, like, larger than the. Like a leopard. Bikini. Yeah, it was a very large, jungle cat of some sort.
There we go.
Can,
Let's do some work. Oh.
One second. Here. Sorry. This part I didn't have prepared.
But as you are in the jungle, you see, a break in the canopy above. And, the light kind of shines down on this very large, leopard.
The light breaks down. You see this? This stonework that creates a large head.
And the mouth seems to be open.
Computer.
Looks kind of like.
There we go. And I'm on the wrong layer. So you don't see anything? Yeah.
Like. You see that? Yeah. So that's. What do you guys come up across? You see the, some broken stonework there. The as it kind of has a little, it's been like, overgrown, but you can see that it looks like the entrance is through the mouth. As I said here, it's a little bit quieter here. It seems that there's a little bit less wildlife that once to get too close to this.
Does it look like there are any fresh tracks? Oh, let's do it. Insists. Do us, survival or investigation? I also just everybody whoever's looking the. She was looking so, Barlow's helping me to make an advantage. Yeah, well, this is.
19, 19.
So as you kind of looking through the, the brush here, you pick up, the main, like marks that you're seeing here.
Are like, some type of, like, humanoid tracks. You're also the. With that score of 19, you're picking up the fact that,
There's not a lot of tracks, but you can see that they kind of step in the same tracks. These are experts who seem to try to hide their numbers by, walking in the same tracks. But you also notice it's not just the humanoid footprints, but there's also, like, a trail that looks like a, very large snake like creature or snake like, creatures.
Also kind of using, you see that they kind of go in and out of the mouth and various directions, And they look recent. You said, nothing like I'd say recent enough. Not like just now. Like it just happened. But you can tell that it looks like these are markings that probably are made almost, almost like, at least once or twice a week lately.
So it's probably been a few, we'll say like a day or two since the last markings, but it looks like they're whatever creatures live here. Probably come out from time to time to for different reasons.
Okay.
Is that the only entrance at the mouth? As you're looking around, that seems to be the only one you're able to see.
What do you think, guys?
I think let's go. For, Let's. First of all, let's do a marching order. Who's going to be in front?
And then when you guys are walking through. But it's fine. I guess I can do this. The, who's who's following the path? Doesn't fashion have the monocle? Yeah, he does it. Well, at this point, the monocle shows that this is. It kind of goes into the mouth. The little smoke. Oh, okay. Yeah. This is why you needed to go to.
All right, then. Yeah. I'll head up. It's fine. I'll go. Right. Okay. I'll go right after that. Just says I'll put Artie in the back. So sass is after, Barlow. So what you're saying? Yeah. That shadow and then Artie next to her. No. Artie in the back. In the back. Who who's going to, Calliope or Bastion?
After shadow, I'll go after shadow. Right. I can go the back. Okay. No, Artie in the back. Well, are you the last humanoid? All right. Oh, that's our marching order. As you guys sneak into the, mouth of this, you, Without a trace is how long? One hour. Yes, I will give you that. It's still running as you guys are coming into the cave, but it doesn't have much longer left on it.
All right, so go ahead and give me a stealth score. As you guys are sneaking into the cave.
I've also been to tonight, 17. Then added ten to everything.
Oh, man, this kind of sucks. So, yeah. Second has to realize that the same problem we had the other night.
Oh, man. I can't delete that, can I?
Man.
Hopefully it's a group DC. But Artie did roll in that one. Yeah.
So we'll do it like this then. As you guys, are finding your way into this, through a narrow passageway. Well, the mouth kind of, goes into a more narrow passageway, I should say, and then you see that it opens up into a,
Yeah. I'm always nervous about dropping people in to see what looks like. That's what it looks like. Give me a second.
That's it.
All right, so you guys come into a, It opens up into a room here. You can see that it's lit, from the four wall. Four little spots on the two walls where, there's open pits, running magma underneath there. You can see above those magma pits. Are these, snake headed creatures, like some sorry, snake headed, stonework that's in the wall.
You see that? There's, four,
Give me a second here. For some reason, my page just crashed. Oh, I saw somebody had a 20 on a stealth check. Who was that? Low or no? Give me a d20.
Okay.
You're not injured, so it doesn't really matter what,
So, What I will say, though, as you guys were walking through there, there's a point. As you guys were wandering through that part of the cave. Barlow's in the front for a second. SAS had a, a moment where she couldn't see Barlow, where he almost, like, went near invisible, for you, Barlow. You saw, like, little ripples of, like, this little silver flame kind of pop up around your fur and little spots.
That said, you then come into this room here where you see, the four snake statues above the, like, the, Lakes of plasm, plasma magma. There's a very large, snake like creature with a body of a, a humanoid with arms coming out in the center. You see, four other statues, around the room of, large pillars with, snakes carved into the work.
That's, Coming out. Yeah. The big statue, has it,
The head of a snake, though, and a very large, spear. In its hand.
Thing it do there. Are the tracks visible in here? Give you an investigation? Check?
Yeah.
I stopped and put my hand up. Oh, yeah. There's two other snakes, carved in on the other wall, as well as a large archway. Right. That archway is, blocked by a large, solid piece of what looks like black obsidian.
It would probably be helpful if I rolled a d20 instead of a d12. Yeah, it this isn't, my last few rolls have been on a d12. No wonder why I am rolling like crap.
Dagger heart. Yeah, that's what it. This, 23. As you come in here, you're noticing that it's almost like, There's a little bit less tracks, but only because it looks like this place might be maintained a little bit more here. So you can see almost like, maybe like the markings had been kind of brushed away as you got into here.
So maybe trying to keep it a little bit more cleaner so it doesn't have all of the, like, overgrown foliage and not in here. It seems like. Yeah, this part here is traversed a little bit more. Okay. Well, I wouldn't stop and turned around and look to see if anybody else had glowing sparkling around them. You did that and then said that, quick, somebody, somebody cast, summoning detect magic flying trap or something.
That's something that you're just looking at forever. That was the glowing silver promoted. I know. Yeah. I'll toss it. I'll use my ring. So that way you don't have to burn a spell. What does that see? What? Detect magic. Detect magic? Or should I do? See invisibility or be better? You both be good. But.
Didn't detect. But we have more than one person who can do detect magic. Bastion, I think you can do it right.
Yes, I can. Yeah, they should be seeing villain see invisibility. That. Okay, I'll do see invisibility. That's why you spawn. Okay, I will cast it. Can he cast it? Yes he can. What do you casting?
Detect magic. You're magic. And then you're invisibility. Shut up. Yeah. And, so with the detect magic, the only thing that you really see coming from the magic, Would be actually.
To hear.
Okay. That's amazing. And that's that's really. I.
Yeah, I guess I would be. All right. So as you cast the invisibility, you see nothing with the invisibility. But the cast magic. What you see is, pretty much all the statues light up. Yeah. Fact as,
Yeah. I think we might have activated some sort of a detection. When we enter this chamber. Well, it's it's more. It's also the fact that as the detect magic is cast, you hear a very loud noise behind you, just as Barlow is about to poke the eyes of the first big statue. And, your owlbear trips, and makes a kind of a loud thunk as it hits the ground.
Oh, buddy, does he got a one right? He did. So with that one, we will say he's also went prone right back there as we are going to roll for initiative. Did he do like a Winnie the Pooh? He got stuck in the tunnel no more. Yeah, I can say that. He kind of had a little hard time there, and the kind of, you also got to be fair to.
He doesn't really like getting in the caves, because that's where he lost his mom. You know, it's like Bambi. But you see the large statue in the center.
As it gets poked in the eyes in the back on its, spear at at you. Nonsensical. This time you have a animated statue ahead of you. Open up the, Turn order. Go. And let's do some combat roll initiative. It's been a while. Yeah. What? 12 plus four hit when I roll with advantage. Now, would you like a 12?
It might be. Initiative.
Roll. The one is still good. 17. What? Oh, yes. Yes. Yeah, yeah, but I rolled on my dice, right? I was like, what the heck? I don't have a plus 16 to initiative.
What is it say 5.2? It's, it's a dexterity tiebreaker. So my dexterity is 26.2. So if somebody had a dexterity of like 18, it would be point 18. So then you could tell who goes first. So that way you don't. The roll to roll is. You know, it's way more less complicated.
Yeah. It's. It's.
What can it do now? And.
Would we have been further in this room, though, if we were looking around at tracks and stuff?
I think that that's about where you. I mean, I'll give you a little bit of leeway if you guys want to kind of adjust where you're starting.
To, like, it would have just been a little bit further in. Yeah. I'll give you a little bit of leeway, like, oh ten 1515 or so. Okay.
Right.
Is everybody happy with where they are? Yep, yep.
Let's what? Why is let's say that I'm first, though.
It doesn't say that on my end. Yeah. It doesn't have the big green circle around the. Oh, it does, but I have.
But yours is 19.2. Yeah. Let me try this. Maybe this will fixing this. Is it because I changed the number. Oh maybe that's why. Yeah. There. There we go. Well now it's got well. There.
Maybe I'll figure this out. Know I'm going to really restart the API's and see if that'll help.
Okay.
It's. What if you just click on my name initiative.
Oh. That's weird.
It's still not like.
It's weird. I don't know why it's all weird like that. Like now, just going back and forth between us and fashion. It's fine. We'll figure it out. And for some reason, says round five. But I want to. Yeah. So, shadow. Oh, no. Yes. Out of your first. All right, all right. Welcome. Further into the room. And that's the only one that's moving.
Right. These other guys or not the other ones have not moved. But you did see that they they're glowing a bit. Oh no, you didn't see nothing. Sorry. I did not see glowing. You didn't see nothing, I saw nothing. All right, all right. I'm going to try to, shoot it twice. The big one.
One of them is a 30 and the other one is a 21. I have another sheet here, 30 and a what, 21? Yeah, those are both hit. I just double check something here. Oh, yeah. You got a magic weapon. Anyway, see if I'm. I do. Plus seven. No. What is my plus? Oh, shoot. Actually, two.
So. Yeah, that's actually worse than I thought it was.
You're screwed. That's not very nice thing to say.
Okay. And because I'm doing piercing damage, I'm going to reroll one of my damage dice. What? Because I just realized your weapon is using what? Your bow.
Fuck.
What's the problem? Problem is, you guys are about to get your ass kicked.
Because I just realized you guys don't have weapons. That'll work. Well.
They make sure. Do they have to be special weapons or magic? Weapons can't work under if they have to be bludgeoning, they're supposed to be made of a certain material. Yeah. Is that really what it says on the. Or was that, like, special? Let me just see something here. Let me make sure that's what the rules of written were.
Okay okay okay. Never mind. I don't know why that's different. So I'm not going to count that okay. Never mind.
That's way too overpowered Rbac. Yep. For some reason, it's like I can't remember if I made these somehow or something, but it has, where they, non-magical attacks that aren't adamantine.
And. All right. But magical text group.
So it can be either magical weapon or adamantine. Okay. You're right. Okay. See, I don't like how a word that it makes it sound like it has to be magic and adamantine or non-magical attacks that aren't, okay. So I guess if it's magic, it's fine. Okay, then what? Yeah, we'll just count that then. How it works, because you don't have that in mind.
You guys do have the bars, but I don't know if you want to just smack it with a. Coin bar, throw some metal bars on its head. And I realize that if if it was that big of a freaking thing, then I should have had it. Where? Maybe you guys were warned. So, that makes sense. Okay.
But never mind all that. What was the damage? 2626 do you need to know whether is force or swarm or, No, it's it'll all be the same. Okay. So what is it again? Sorry. 2620. So wait, 14. Yeah. 26. For the first hit, as your arrow goes into the chips, into the stone of work a little bit.
Okay, so don't wait. So 1 or 7. To one. Okay. The second one is you rolled the 2020 damage. No, all my damage dice. All right. That's right. You had to. Okay, now. Bam! Two arrows pierced into the stonework. And then for my bonus action, I'm going to have already run up.
And he is going to.
Oh, I can't move him.
Right now. There we go. I'm going to have him come up on the side. It's, 30ft. I'm going to have him do his attack.
Trying to remember. What do I do with him? Okay. It's been so long. Yeah, he hasn't been really active. So 21 to hit, 21 to hit. That's going to hit. And five slashing. But he's non-magical unfortunately. Oh yeah. So because no damage as he scrapes into him. No damage. He's he damage immunity. Oh it's not resistance.
That's why I'm like, oh shit.
But he could still be used as a, flank, right? Yeah, yeah, but he's also could be in harm's way. Yeah, I realize that, too. Okay. That's it. That's my turn. All right. Large animated statue.
Oh, yes.
Oh. No. No, no. So. You see it? Pull back. It's, weapon. And then as it pushes off, as he. Points it towards your party.
It's ten feet.
Yeah. So Barlow and R.D. need a wisdom saving throw.
It go. That's pretty good for 30.
Or chuckle. You Barlow, I mean, I I'm 19 for Artie, for Artie. I'm speechless as he kind of leans as he points the weapon forward. You see, like this. Like, kind of like that heat wave kind of, my asking what kind of, mirage, kind of, thing kind of going on, as it kind of starts hitting towards Artie, it doesn't seem to have any effect, but as it hits into Barlow, you are slow.
Oh, no, you cannot use your reactions. Your speed is now halved and it cannot. You can't take can't make any more than one attack on your turn. Oh, no. In addition, the target can take either an action or a bonus action on its turn, but not both. Yeah, and this effect lasts for one minute. Oh, shit. Target can repeat the saving throw at the end of its turns, though, ending the effect on itself on a success.
This is hopeless, but we'll see. I don't know if it's in the rules or not. Maybe you'll know. Chuckle I remember the old rules were hasty reverses. A slow though. Oh, I don't know about that. That's a weird. Oh, I don't think it, I thought it used to and that's why I wasn't sure. And that's all I'm saying I, I guess I'm asking it.
Does it. Yeah, I don't know. I don't remember that even in the old 2014 rules, I remember that it was a video game that. Might have. I mean, they do have sort of opposite effects. So I'm trying to make sense. It could do that. Because you get a plus two AC. Now I hear that minus two means you.
Know you get an extra reaction or an extra action. But now I rewind it. So yeah. Yeah I think they just want to double check, see if it's in the. Yeah. So I lose minus two when you see the whole thing.
He.
Actually doesn't say anything in the rules about it, so we'll send. I don't see any reason to make that a thing right now. It's not actually in the rules.
So. All right, so we will send out right now. It doesn't as far as we know. It doesn't slow. And.
It gets two slam attacks. What's the distance on it? It's got reached ten feet. All right, so it's going to do one to both of you guys.
Oh, and he hits the Barlow has to take full damage. He hasn't reached yet. Yeah, no rage yet. You got way too nice. He's. Do you know what it's like when you hit a barbarian and it's like, oh, okay, that didn't do anything but. This is the only time I can actually hurt him. Hurt? I mean, to be fair, the only time Barlow has gone down is because of go, like, 2 or 3 combats without healing himself.
All right, so it's, so. Ouch. 31 that hit for who you got, Barlow? Yeah. I mean, I suppose it doesn't matter. So the first one messed up. I I'll never be 2023. The hit against. Put them above your. Yeah, yeah yeah. That hits. You actually that's a pretty good bonus.
So, already takes. Morale. Morale was one.
Or.
All right, so it already takes 13 points and Barlow takes 19 points of damage. As he hits the slow smack, smack. And that's his turn.
Okay. That's,
Just within this one.
The statue in front of you. Shadow moves and attacks you.
Actually, it should have had advantage on its initiative. Rolls, but that's fine.
Okay, so I need a. First of all, I need a dexterity saving throw on, shadow skills. Oh, the natural one. Do me a favor. Roll a one again. A d20 1412.
Okay.
You take.
That's not too bad.
As you see, that, statue move towards you. You see its mouth open up and it's spews out lava at you, and you take 11 points of fire damage. Okay.
And then it slams you.
Ouch. That's a natural 20. Cool, cool.
Just because we haven't had combat in a while doesn't mean this gets to be a TPK. I get, I'll try 18.
30 points of bludgeoning damage as it smacks you. Oh, these ones are actually snakes, so they don't have actual weapons. So in that case, it would just slam at you with its tail. That's not too bad for a crit. That's its turn. Can't move. Calliope, you're up. Oh, okay.
I'm going to.
Go forward to my knee bit.
And the, Shadow. You went first, right? Yeah, yeah. And you what? Because I don't know if I would be able to see, like, something nicked it the first. The first hit. What? You would have heard sounds especially, Yeah. You wouldn't have seen what happened over there. She was around the corner. But you would have heard the sounds of, like, almost sound like a hose, I guess.
And then, smack. Okay.
I'm going to attempt to cast a cloud of daggers like, and try to focus it, but, it's a cube five feet on your side, centered on a point that you choose. Can I make it so, like, they're centered around its head? Like a like a like a swarm of these? What's the radius on it? It's five feet on each side.
Oh, yeah. So it's just it's just fills, one square, so. Yeah, it could be in that square. Yeah, yeah. Okay. So I'm going to cast that at. Let's do this third level.
I, I should have I have an animated, cloud native to.
I'm hoping that the daggers will, like, chip away at its base.
You can certainly try.
Spinning daggers up here and a five foot on each side centered on a foot. You choose within range. It takes 44 when it enters it for the first time, or it starts its turn. There. So when it takes, it's when it starts its turn, right. It will start taking damage.
Did you what level did you do that? Three. So third or higher. It's 2D for seed four. So 64.
So, Oh, there's it already. Roll the damage right away. Yeah. Yeah, I did okay.
Why is it two different. Oh I see, so it's 17 damage. Okay. Gotcha. Yeah okay. All right. And then I'm going to switch back. Here.
That's my turn.
Oh. That's supposed to be. I don't know why. All right, so the statue that's over by, Artie. It then rears its head.
And,
This one's its lava breath. A distance of 30ft.
So. That's not going to be able to get to in there. So we'll have him go up there. Says since it isn't taking any damage yet. I need a dexterity save from you. Sass.
You.
1418
Why am I seeing the number anymore?
I didn't have a.
Spit fire.
Yeah, we'll just do this because you got a one on yours. Right? Shadow, when you did the, save, that's where you had the one. Yeah. Okay, so maybe I just didn't notice. For some reason, I don't see the save on there, so we'll make it a little bit easier for you guys. As you see it.
Shoot. It's,
Lava at you. It's, it's 1013. It's 18. So that's half. So you take, ten points of damage as you kind of are able to move a bit out of the way with some of the, the molten magma kind of just gets a little bit singes you a little bit. Okay. Just ten. Yeah. Ten.
And unfortunately he's going to go for the big old owlbear next to him because that's about as far as he can reach.
Takes 19 points of damage against, Artie. Yeah, well, buddy, that is his turn. Barlow, you're up.
All right. Action! Bonus action. Well, obviously, my bonus action is going to be to rage and, as part of my rage action, I can move up to half of my speed, which is currently 20. So have someone's hand so I can move 1025 if I you in my high speed line at zero, you have to make that 20.
So I'm going to move in a rage. I'm going to move right over here inside this motherfucker. And that's all I can do. So you see, I make my Barlow, like, in slow motion through, He's, like, moving. You can tell he's trying to move as fast as he can, but it's definitely slow. And then you get a good advance at this point.
So I'm good. Oh 21 yeah. There you go. Yeah. As you get to that spot, the funny thing is you were doing your rage as you were running and like, what is it happens when you rage again. That doesn't they're like part of the dragon comes out. Or is that just when you wanted to yell? Yeah, yeah.
When I rage it with my claws, transform. So you see him, like, trying to slowly pop out his claws, but then, right when he gets to that point there, you hear him? You're like, what? Like roar. And you can see that he's, like, moving again at full speed at the end of his turn.
Yep.
And as you do so, right behind you.
Statue rears up, and I need a Dex saving throw from you. And a lot of. Get rid of that minus two of my Dex.
So I think 13 metes it, beats it. You jump up. Out of the way. That was the 50 of the king. No, no. Oh, you take, just, So six points of fire damage as it a little bit still gets on you stop. And then it gets to do a slam attack that does.
26
Oh. Excuse me. Yeah, that. 18 AC now.
18. 24 points of bludgeoning damage, which would be halved, I guess, because it's bludgeoning and that's. It's true. Yep. That's you are up. That's in your next. All right. We're gonna move on up here. Is that right next to it or do I need to move one more? That's fine. Yeah. Okay. And we're going to lay. It's a big statue though, so it's kind of taking up all a lot of.
Oh, balls. I'm telling you, man, you're still always has such a big impact. Definitely roll me another d20, Wow. Nice. Nine.
As for us, I assess, strikes out, she yells out the magic for the shillelagh, and you see the club, like, take on the silvery flame. Though at the same time as a devil just into, a thing. How much damage is that total? 17 bludgeoning already? Yeah. You rolled one on her, crit dice, but, like, the was the one.
You also crit on a 19, too. I gotta remember that. Rolling. The other one is a six. Oh, I see what it's. Oh, oh, I see, I got you, got you. So 17. So that's 20.
22. Yeah. So unfortunately, in real life, it's not as much as I had hoped, but the good roll, the good news is not done. As that silvery flame hits on there. Sass, your shell. The even takes on a little bit of the silvery flame as the the impact hits of that silvery flame kind of blows back on you on your next, d20 roll.
Whatever you roll a d20 on, you get to add a one d6 to it. These. All right. That. That's it. That's. And you are,
All right. You're on me. Yeah. I'm going to move right here, and then I'm going to cast still wind strike.
There we go.
The 16. I only choose up to five creatures. They make a against each creature. Okay, so that'll be for that one. For that one. And this doesn't work the same way. So how do I do this? Is this, I'll just, I'll just reset it back to one. That's. This will be for this one.
14 this next one will be for that one. What? 11. And the last against each target. It's immediately spell attack two, though it's not. Yeah. I'll have to fix. I'll try to see if I can change that. So that way it's just a one roll for you that we did with the other one? Yeah. All right.
The 16 hit this one. So this, while the 16 was on the first guy. Right. The big guy? Yep. No, this one right here on the left. So no, 14 and then 14. So the 25 will be the only one that hits. And which ones? That on this one. The one on the back. So -29 against him.
And then I'm going to end right here. On the other side of this guy. So I can choose where I end up. Oh, wait.
And then I'm going to use a bonus action to pop my stuff.
And I have, oh, here it is. Played song by on.
Does that work like that? Hurry up. Yep. It is really okay. All right. And then that's it. I will end my turn.
All right, so. Yeah. So we see bastion run out there and, like a flurry of, movement as he, unfortunately, the statues, either gets hit into the hardest stonework on them or they kind of just move out of the way just enough. But that last one hits things into him, and then he all while he's doing his little blade song.
And the last one. Gets to wake up now.
Won't this thing move?
Towards to what now? I can't get this cone to move. Let's move it. Let's. It's not moving.
Later. Oh, you're only the one there. There it's go.
So. Oh, man. Really? I'm sorry. Artie needs to do a, Dex saving throw.
1919. He's fine on that. Well, he still takes half damage.
That's pretty cool.
So that's ten points of, fire damage.
And does a 22 hit? Yeah.
For another.
13 points of damage.
And that is his turn.
Shout out you are a. Right. It's it's trying to figure out why I couldn't move that. It won't let me move the walls. What's. What are you trying to figure out? Like a 60ft cone use? But I don't want to hit bastion. Where's the.
What's in the measuring?
And I think I can angle it like.
The wave.
This way. Up.
Let's see. Okay. Cone.
Like that. Okay. To get both. Okay.
Okay. I think that's what I'm going to do. So I'm going to cast, Conjure Barrage.
So that means, we'll.
Question, though, because it says that you throw a non-magical ammunition, but then it says the damage type is the same as that of the weapon. And my weapon is magical. So then does that still make the ammunition magical?
Because if it's not going to be magical, then I won't do it, because that makes no sense. But if I can get it to be.
The same as the weapon, then it would be.
Well, damage that would just be piercing the right. And so what is this? Is this, a class feature? No, it's a spell. Oh, it's a spell. Then you're fine. You're casting a spell.
Right, right. It just threw me off that it said you throw a non-magical weapon because the reasoning is they don't want you throwing, like, a plus five arrow. Got it? Arrows of slaying. Yeah, yeah. Oh. Got it. Make a ring that arrows this way. Yeah. So yeah, that's just your material component to cast a spell. Okay. Good good good.
I mean that's shit damage, but it should get both of them. If so, it's, So these. Oh, they there's this, they're not going to have really great, dexterity saves. Unfortunately, they can roll higher still. Really? Yeah. The one in front of you, fair, succeeds. The one in the back fails. Okay, so the one in the front takes five.
And that is mine. And the one in the back takes 11. That is my action. And then for my bonus action, I am going to to have Artie disengage because he's getting plowed. Okay I think I, I don't know if he had it disengage. They got kind of like you could take two frickin attacks of opportunity.
Can he stand over Calliope because he's bigger than her? What do you mean, stand over her? Like, right now in. I know, but. So he's blocking her. So can he stand over her, like, put her in between his front feet? Yeah. I mean, they can you can occupy the same space as him since he takes a four spaces in your friendlies.
You could be in one of those four spots. Okay, okay, I'm going to do that. So that that way she still has line of sight and he's not blocking her. Yeah, that's what you're saying. Gotcha. Yes, yes. Oh. Poopy suspenders. I'm just poof. He's really super, super skinny underneath all the sweat. He's just really skinny. Yeah. It's all feathers and fluff.
Anything else is just a fluffy boy. That's it. Big guy in the center is going to see if he gets, going. Oh, this. I'm not gonna lie, this was meant to be a bit of a hard one to get you guys in there. I see I'm going to see if he recharges his slow. And,
Targets one in the more within ten feet of it. So that's going to be all three of you guys, Barlow, bastion and Sass. Wisdom. Save it. So you should be fine on that one. Wisdom.
You can still score high points, so you get a add a, the what I say one d6 with wisdom. Save wisdom. Save plus one d6. Yeah.
One, two. Well, before I roll, what if I end up not needing it? Can I just use it later? You know what? I will let you, because it's a special thing there. I will let you, give that up. So I can see my roll and then decide if I want the extra. So pretty much the way that that special roll is going to work.
Is this when you're granted that silver flame gift?
You have up until your next d20 roll, we'll say that. So the next up into. So any roll of you or your allies and then we'll say, because the fact that your allies have all have the, Silver Flame as well will allow that. I like that I'm totally down with that. Okay. Wait. So so I do I have to use it on this roll.
Either have to use it on this roll or give it to somebody else before that. By this time. Yeah. But yeah, because Barlow is actually going to need it after all. Yeah. Me neither. That beat it. So okay, okay. But if Barlow would have got a one or something that yes, you could have given it to him and in fact you're going to need it.
So yeah, I'm at you. I was like, I want to ask before I roll. No, no. And I like that actually I'm fine with that because okay, here's the deal guys. I've had you guys roll when you guys get 20 and ones because it's been activating the power of the Silver Flame. And there could be bigger bonuses as you guys kind of, based on that secondary rolls, there could be some bonuses that can come up.
So that's what's been going on there. And it's starting to fully activate at this point, because you guys have gotten enough points to do that. But I like the game mechanics. I'm going to allow that to become the how it works. And I'll luckily all three of you guys are able to, as that, like, my asthma, heat wave kind of goes over the three of you.
The silver flame kind of pops up on all three of you guys. We'll say. And, it's able to protect you, and all three of you guys are fine. None of you guys are slowed. And it doesn't slam attacks, though. Yeah.
It's going to be a one against sass, so it misses that one. But then it does get a actually. Well yeah it's a it's a one. So it doesn't matter. But the bonus but it is unfortunately a 30 against Barlow. Yeah. Guess that's better. Meet it needs it right.
Yeah. Meets it. Beats it on the 30. Okay. 30. Just just barely. Oh. So a whole 14 points of bludgeoning damage as it smacks you with its, a little weapon there. I I I, I yelled to Barlow, fight back to back.
Okay, remember, I got my wings, bro. All right, so you gave it 17 points of damage as the dagger digs into this thing here. Oops. Gosh dang it.
Daggers started chipping into it.
It does not get its lava breath back.
17 shadow. No. Let's go for it. 32. That's just. Oh. 32 for me. The blades. 32 minus. Oh. Okay. What can I do? No, I think it's going to hit me even if I. Even if I pop a shield, I'll still only be at 29. So it's think 22, 22 points of damage as it smacks you with its tail, and that's its turn.
Realize it's not like they have any bonus turns and they can't move, so there's a lot that they don't get. Calliope, you're up. Did that, statue? Yeah, it took it 17 points. Did it just take it again? Like, did it have it on the turn? Well, it just took its turn right now. That's.
Okay, so it didn't take it didn't take the damage when I cast this. No, no. Yeah. It takes it when, if it walks into it or it starts its turn there. Got it. Okay. Oh it can't move. So that'll hit it every time. Yeah. Yeah. Is it a concentration. It is. Okay. So just be aware that that's what I got out of the way.
I said no work.
And no. Because when all it in.
And I can't see the others. Well, I can't see if it. There's tattoos because I'm still back in, like, a hallway. Yeah.
And then, Barlow, you're after the, statue? Yep.
Is there okay? Yeah. Yeah. I have a question.
Is there a creature that I could polymorph into that obviously Calliope would have seen that she knows like disrupt Stone. Like for example if I turned into a T-Rex or something. Like what I'd be able to like headbutt the statue or what. One of those head grabbing dinosaurs or something.
The problem is, yeah, that's a big problem with that. You would have. What I will say is this from your vantage, though, you would have seen, Artie hit the big statue and you can tell it did, like, no damage to him. His natural weapons did not seem to do that. As an adventurer. And with your bard not bardic knowledge, I will say that you, even as dizzy as Calliope, might be.
She would. She would have learned, at least by now, that some creatures can only be attacked by magical weapons. Okay. Okay. Thank you. Yeah. I mean, the polymorph will let you have hit points for days, but then you're not going to be able to do it. Well, not so much of a polymorph, but then I'll take down your daggers.
Because polymorph is concentration. Yeah. Okay.
Man, I have no idea. Shoot. He was supposed to get an advantage on the, saving throw. That's right.
These things are pretty tough, actually. It's not a monster, right? No. You would know that these are constructs. Okay? The almost balls of red like creatures were monsters. Well. No, creatures of monsters would work on these. Yeah, that what doesn't work? As if it says beast or monstrosity or dragon or obviously it's not a person. Right? Or humanoid.
What spell or like, what do you think? Looking at? Well, I was looking at. Where do they go?
Like, I was looking at, like, this isn't it? Was birds incident this bird or just that has more often has more is concentration.
I mean, even though that's kind of weird with Phantasmal killer, when I read it, there's nothing in there technically that says it wouldn't work with them. Granted, I don't think that statues would have fears per say, but it doesn't say anything in there like.
I wouldn't, what? The dissonant whispers. Can hear only one creature of your choice. Whether you can hear wrecking it with terrible pain.
The only thing with dissonant whispers is that it can't move. These things seem to be part of the, the the, the leg mites that they are attached to.
Also, you have your, weapons too, though. You have the, I have the enchanted dagger, and you have your, bard. Whatever that the lute or whatever, you know, you had, Let's see if there any more. Yeah. The pan flute. Oh, but it needs to be attuned. I don't know if you're attuned to it or not.
No, but I do have.
It. Because that's where it has. It gives you a couple other spells.
I have the,
Which is, that's not the one that's like I can do, like, a fireball and stuff. Yeah, that is okay. I am attuned to that one. Okay. It says needs us, but, so if you're tuned to that. Yeah, I mean, you have those spell options as well.
It allows you to cast stone shape while a fire and wind, a wall.
As well as fly, invisibility, levitate and protection from evil and good.
Sorry, guys. It's all good. No.
I don't know how that would help with this, though. He's already stone. He can. I can make him, Stone. Well, can I break him? Oh. What's, what's spell you're looking at? That's the same. Yeah, I know, I already closed out your sheets. I forgot what the spells called.
What was the spell called? It's not a spell. It's just that it's really painful. No. Oh, there you go. That's your shield, then it's. It's just say. Well, I think it's a it's allows you to cast certain spells.
Oh, yeah. We don't know how this is reactive fire was. It was fire. Stone shape, wall ball. But you guys were in the same room though. Like you would cast a huge wall of fire in a room that you were all in. So we. I'm not a whole iron block off part of the room. I think you do that well.
And also you realize wall of fire.
They can't move, they can't move. And I think you can choose. Yeah. So I they're like, you create a wall of fire on a solid surface within range. You can make it up to 60, up to 60ft long or 20ft high and one foot thick, or a ringed wall up to 20ft in diameter, 20ft high and one foot thick.
Oh, it is opaque and it lasts for the duration when it appears. Each creature with oh must make a dexterity saving throw on a failed save. It takes 5 to 8 fire damage, or half as much damage on a successful save. Once side of the wall selected by you when you cast it deals 5 to 8 so you can set it up where only one side of the walls, causing damage.
And get all three of those and make a burning ring of fire if you want to. Yeah. Ring of fire. Okay, now, I'll do that.
Yeah, let's just do that. All right. So you're doing what? The what shape? Let's do the ring fire. All right, so it's, up to 20ft in diameter.
Yeah, it's.
Can you just square.
It is. That's only.
Is it? It would be. It 20, but this, 20ft radius right here. You said it was a 20ft diameter. Oh. You're right. Yeah, it's up to 20ft. So she can stop it at like 15 to do this, but that's that's, That's that's, radius. So it's only ten feet wide. Like, it's a ten foot radius.
It's a ten yet. Oh, yeah. Man, that's actually doesn't seem as impressive now. So that's kind of it, right? Yeah. 1020 I mean, she's you think you can you like, you know, that's 20ft. Yeah. So.
I mean, yeah, you can do it. So it's these three if you do that. Yeah. And you can do it. So that checks out and speed and you can do it. So the damage is going inwards. So that way somebody's standing on next to the wall of flame is not going to take any damage.
Okay. Otherwise it's ten five foot cubes Like when you if you do a wall, it's ten. It's up to no no no. Got it. So it'd be 2040. It's just one straight wall on straight wall. Got it. Yeah. The thinking is that one time panels. Well, the problem is, is one time on Critical Role that made a U-shape.
Yeah. I was thinking it was like, I can do this, but not according not rules is written. It's just a wall or a ring. So go ahead and give me five d8. Okay. Wait. Hold on. When you cast it, it deals it. Okay, well, that ends its turn. Shit. Is it, is it doing one of those things again?
What? To each that ends its turn with, when the wall appears in the future. Makes it back, say, oh, yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. So it does take it right away. Okay. That's what I want to make sure. Yeah. And then have a turn in there.
So I need some Dex saves here. You have A27 did an eight. That's great. And what's the Dex save? Actually, it's a it's not based on your DC, though. I think it's based on the. The magic item should have a DC, I believe. This is 15, 15. Yeah. Actually, they all have a negative one on the Dex.
Oh, that's between them. That fails.
All right, so the first one is fine, so it takes only half.
But the other two take full damage.
Good job. Anything else? Yeah. So just remember that tactic. Next time you can do that, we can all be in the middle of it while you burn everybody outside of it. And that is a concentration. So the.
So what do I have?
Oh, you guys never saw the daggers. That's why.
They had that guy there. But I had it on the GM there.
Yeah, that's what happened there, Makes sense. I don't where does it say that it's constitution? Because you're casting the spell. So wall of fire is a concentration spell. Oh. Dang it. Yeah, but that's some more damage than, your cloud of daggers, right? Yeah. You cause more damage on three as opposed to. That's true. Yeah. No.
And it says if it gets same damage when it enters the wall. So it's going to be 27 damage. All right. Large animated statue.
He does not get his lava breath back, and nobody is within ten feet of it. So it looks like he is so. Oh, no. Lava breath. Barlow, you are up of them. Sass. You are up after the statue. Okay, I'm going to smooch in a little furry butt right over to here. So we go back to back to bastion and my bonus action, I will throw up the animated shield.
Let it flow. Please let me have both my hands free. Now, and I will attack. Right. Let's.
React to that advantage. First attack is left here. Sure. Why not?
You know. So, like, anytime. 17 here.
That's acid though. Let me see some real quick here. Yeah. You're fine. Poison. That doesn't really do anything. 17. Yeah. I think that one doesn't hit, no. Oh. You know. And third free. The bonus for 26. That's nice. And that's. Something blocking my screen. I responded. Oh, well, possible.
There you go. No idea. What it's 1414. Okay, that is my turn. Swipe at him. You could see that he's getting down there. This acid has a good effect on. But nothing special with the acid. Hits them like it's sure like no melting into him deeper. Okay. Doesn't have, Maybe if your acid was, like vinegar, but just the real acid.
Not as much.
We were watching something where they run up the whole thing with Hannibal using vinegar. Oh, doctor who using vinegar to take down the mountains. All right. I animated statue.
Well, you come.
You're still within ten. If you're not. All right. So first of all, let's see if he gets his breath back. Nope. Oh, I'm still close. Yeah. You're still there.
And I think a 26 is going to hit. Yes, I will allow it. It's very kind.
Of 21 points so that we have.
And that's its turn.
So yes, you are up. It's only one inch. We're going to keep it simple. Begin with the shillelagh. The 23 to hit. That's going to hit. 16 bludgeoning three poison.
Oh unfortunately poison is not going to do anything. I just realized that now, my number was started. Well, 16 bludgeoning.
All right. Anything else? Nope. Bastion. All right. Oh, wait, wait. Oh. Okay. No. Know my wrong statue. Because I was thinking that had taken damage. But it was. You taken. It was your turn by the statue. All right. Okay, I'm going to start with this one. Oh, you doing still win? The still win streak. Wow. I'm nothing.
Oh, well, that's a good one. That's for that one. This one. Next.
Until then, the bottom left.
19. Then the bottom right. 19. So all except for the first one. Hits. I need two d20. So from you two d20.
12 and a one.
Oh, does not on a one. And, So let's see here the damage here so started with the top left, and then the second one with the 29 was the one in the back. Right. Okay. So that's -67. The two thing. Yep. Nice. I think it's bloodied. The next one is -32. It's a rough. So yeah, I get all worried that you guys are going to TPK.
And then all of a sudden, like, something like this happens, like, okay, maybe it's not that bad. One, two. Yeah. This is the first one. Yeah. Oh, it's got a lot more to more.
I just might have to heal up a bit. And then -29 on that guy.
All right. Anything else? Yeah. As a bonus, action.
Don't forget, we have heal point. Heal potions are bonus actions. Give it to somebody as a bonus. As a bonus action. I'm going to pop my stone skin brooch so I have resistance against bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. Nice. For an hour. Cool.
All righty. Remember that for me? Because I not do anything else. I don't think I can do anything else.
Wait. Can I do a normal attack? No, because that was a spell, correct? Yeah. Okay. All right, that's it. Well, actually. Yeah. And I'm going to pop right, right back up where I was. Okay.
Technically, I don't even know if you're supposed to be able to cast the bronze, but that's the brooch. But I'll let it. It says a bonus action. Oh. Does it? Okay, then. Yeah. It takes one bonus action to trigger the spell. Never mind. Although I burn, I burn a diamond. But I got ten of those. That's what.
That's okay, because I was a homebrew item that I made, so that's. That makes sense. That's why I was up there. My, I forgot it's been a while since we thought about it. Well, I haven't, I've never used it, so I knew you had it. Yeah. And it it's the one that grog our game on, like early in the campaign too.
So he takes what was the damage. Was it 17 or 27. Oh. You want to reroll damage. It's a new round. Well the way it says is it takes that. It says that damage. I'll let you decide though. But I guess it would have to be. How. No. Oh, this is wrong, Yeah. We'll just do what it says.
Yeah. Bonus 27. Pretty good guys. Stick to the roll. Otherwise it's going to be all. But the good news is nobody's close to it, so really can't do anything else. Oh, wait. It could try to see. Oh no, it's not even going to be able to do much with the well, at least you could see the recharges, but nobody's within 30ft, so it can't really attack you.
But it does recharge. So.
You do see on that one like its mouth, sort of having the lava kind of back in there. But it's notices that everyone's too far away and actually. Oh, am I wrong? It. No, actually, no. It would be able to get sass. Sorry. Also, remember that all of fire is opaque. Yeah you're right, it wouldn't see you that one.
Ranged attacks are very difficult. Yeah, it's opaque and can't see through it, so never mind. But it's recharged. I guess you wouldn't have seen it recharge. Well, Barlow might have. I guess you guys could have kind of seen a little bit over on that side. All right, next round, shout out you are up seven. You are going to be up after two statues.
So okay. Oh nice.
I don't really have any good spells against these guys. So I want to save those. I'm just going to hit the one that's to my left.
Because I think the one in front of me would be a disadvantage. Right. No. Any attack you make, an enemy within your range is a disadvantage, regardless of where your target is. Wait, what? Any hostile creature within your it's melee range, imposes a disadvantage on any recent attack. Not the target itself. And friendly. Oh, yeah, but you have an additional advantage because somebody within that can hit you at any moment.
Yeah. So it's like stabbing at you. It's hearing your attack, which you'd have to get away from him. And you've noticed that they have like a ten foot reach. Yeah, well, I don't like that. Doesn't roll, tuck and roll. You're mobile. Don't you have. Oh, no. Yeah, that's the attack. I have to hit it first. I mean, I do have mobile, and I forgot about it in the last turn when I could have.
I don't think it's a hit. I think you just have to strike at it. Right? Or it doesn't. And you make a meal when you make a meal. Well, no, I have to strike at it. But yeah, yeah. Something no one does a melee attack to. Yeah. And I don't have anything else, but. Oh, actually, I can do my bonus action first.
Right? So I'm going to do bonus action first, which, makes me invisible. Oh, yeah. I love that bullshit. Yep. So I'm totally forgot about that, too. So you see, I see it too. I'm in a bonus action. Go invisible and move over here. You can step away. Yep. And now I'm going to hit, I'm going to go for the one in the middle because he looked a little bit more, beat up right?
Maybe a little more chips in him. Yeah. Oops. Okay. What do you do that? Does. Oh, does a 17 hit? Oh. No. Okay. How about a 21 that'll hit. Okay, 23 points of damage, please. And thanks. That's.
And then I think I'm still. I mean, I'm out of reach anyways, but I should I'm still invisible until the top of my next turn. Regardless if I do anything, but it just isn't there a counter on how many you get? I'm trying to find where that feature is. I was just reading it, but it's, it's up to proficiency, I think.
Number of proficiency game. If it's a short rest or a long rest that recharges on. I'm trying to, but I'll let you get look that up. Anything else? No, I think that's all I can do. That's a big guy's turn. He's going to take the, 27 points of damage as the fire starts burning into it.
Is now pretty bloodied. If it would bleed. In fact, we will say that you do see little bits of like. Old magma kind of coming out of it a little bit. Why not? It's going to see. Thinking of magma breaking up. Let's see if it recharges that it does not recharge. Which means it's just slam attacks.
Who's next to it? Barlow. And, no. Ouch. There's a too many use. My reaction for Barlow so he can add plus for those AC.
Oh, okay. Nice. Well, let me know if he's attacking. Might not be attacking me or gets it's use before the attack. I think I just have to choose before he. You get damaged or hit or whether the roll goes through or not. What is it? The you're using protective wings. Oh, yeah. That, I see a bit of that too.
Or is it attacking me? Yeah, it was good. It was a it's about to take both you and sass. Oh, is that advantage attacking me? I want to backwards. Oh, in that case, I'll just use both those rules against you. Then. So that solves that problem because it had a 20 and a low roll. Yeah. So I guess it's a 20 on your 20.
Yeah. It's plus for a it's now a 22. So it misses no one. When I meant sorry it had a natural 20. That's what I was saying. Oh crits one. Yeah. That's why I was like oh never mind because that was actually going to be on sass. But I'm like in my head I'm like, you could take the damage more than she can.
Yeah. And then it did go to you anyways. Do it. And then 19 does that hits you sass?
What am I looking at? A 19. Yeah for my AC. Yeah. Yeah yeah. It hits you. Yes. All right. So first let's do it. Well he can use his reaction for that one. Is that right. The one to. For her. Good. Because I got criticism of no point wasted on me. She has to be within five feet.
Oh. So if I feel. As he did, it's worth the player damage. He's not dead yet. No, he's cracking up. He's got a lot of cracks for me. I'm trying, man. I'm trying. So it's 41 against Barlow because the crit team points. Well, I guess you get half of that because, it's bludgeoning. It's one. So it's still down to 50 now.
And then 17 points against you says, okay, that wasn't as bad. And that's a turn though. That's.
26. Does that hit you? Bastion? Not anymore. A pop shield. I was like, what does that mean? I'm, I pop shield. Yep. So I'm at 24, so now I'm at 29. So it smacks you twice, but both times as the first one hit blocks of the shield. You are fine.
Calliope. Europe. Barlow, you're after the statue. Okay, I'm going to point my finger at the big guy in the middle. Okay? I'm just. It's time to rock and roll. Get it? Because he's a.
And, should GPT make up these jokes, let me know, okay. No. Not today. She doesn't need help. I'm going to cast just mockery.
And that would be where, it's ready for.
What is that thing?
So, wisdom saving throw. Yeah.
Spell.
Doesn't get the bonus.
Which.
What's, the DC. It's mine. Right? Yeah. You're casting spell. So. My, DC 16.
16
So here's the bad news. As you, cast the, the the the words just kind of don't seem to pierce it. The psychic is, does not get cut through its stone. Is immune to psychic and poison.
Is not like any of my spells. Is to take a damage on the fire. I know, but still.
Okay. Well, that was a bust.
Dang, that's all I have. Or is. I don't have any bonus actions. Right. Like statue. That does not get its lava breath back. And baby burn.
Shadow is within ten feet.
And, I'm gonna count it from the center. We'll just do that. It's getting kind of weird. So we'll say that you're. You're just outside of its reach. It's kind of weird right there. So that's all I can do. Oh, wait. Hold on. It takes damage. Sorry, 27 points. Damage.
Yeah. Barlow, you were up. Statue or after the statue? Okay.
It's gone. What? It was. Don't. Go back. Was.
It was like. Yes.
So 19 damage. So I six.
For, Holy 14. My bring attached also happens. Oh, there's, you know, nice. Let's get rid of it. Okay. It's very, very bad. So, I mean, not like bad bad, but. Oh, man, I'm tired. 1520 2029 full. Close. Do me a favor though. And. Oh, okay. Because I was gonna I was going to kick something into that, but never mind what you never mind nothing.
Okay. Well, I guess it's, it's metagaming. And now, because you seen something earlier I should know about, you know, said it's immune to psychic damage. I didn't want to see that. But you know what? I'm gonna do it anyways. Because I didn't know that. I'm gonna try to hit it with infectious spirit. God, proceed on a wisdom sentence.
You see, 15.
Yeah, I got a 20. Now talk. Never mind. And unfortunately, your d20 was a one, so that doesn't help that silver flame. You do see a little bit of the cellophane. They'll come out as you crit.
So like now, like like when you guys crit, even if it's like a ones on the crit, you know that there's extra like kind of umph in there because like you kind of have like this little silvery flame glow about you on those hits. But this, this thing is like this thing. Seriously, it's going down soon. Anything else?
Well, it now has this this on all of its attack rolls. And so my next turn and it loses ten feet of movement. There you go. That's my turn. Oh, fantastic. This guy here cracked the code. Does not get its breath back and is too far to really do any damage to you guys right now without its breath attack.
Says. Shillelagh. Well, and you can do this, you dumb ass. Yeah. 25 to hit 18. Bludgeoning. All right. How you want to do this? Yeah, I think I got that right. Oh, I like I did I, you show and I and my ax goes right into if it had a heart right where its heart would be. So as you, right as you, it starts crumbling and breaking apart.
Coming down. So do all the rest of them. Yeah. Please. It's my hope. That's why I've been going at that one.
As it does so, do you see, like, the like like the the. Oh, God dammit. Oh, they have it in my head. I'm trying to put in the words as you break down on it. It shatters into, like the shards coming down. Like where the the lava that was, you can see inside of it. There was like a almost like a lava tube.
It seems, it starts to kind of like, like freeze up a bit. And in fact, yes, the other ones are out of commission. Oh, so long as the lava pits around here start going cold instantly.
The doorway of the,
God damn it! What the hell is it? Obsidian. That's what it was. Seems to be the about the only real light in here at this point. It kind of has a dim glow. But otherwise, for all intents and purposes, combat is over with. You. Your nickname is El Cabal. Guys. So fucking walk up and watch my lips.
That's all I'll do. On. All of the parts you.
But I know Jamie was saying that she's getting tired and so we can kind of leave it there if you guys want. It's past midnight. Yeah, yeah. Oh. It is. Shit. So I missed my word for the, damage. Figure out some way of getting past the obsidian wall or whatever. Or you can try to barricade yourself here if you guys want to try to take an hour rest and do whatever.
We'll figure that out next time. Give you guys some time to figure out what you want to do. Okie dokie. Sounds good. Otherwise, thank you very much. Thank you. Glad it didn't turn into the TV K that I was starting to wonder, but I'm. Oh, it was good. I was looking at this, yeah. I was like, those little guys.
Those little guys are controlled by the big one. I'm going for the big one. Yeah. Good choice. Yeah. If they would have had that damage to me to get rid of Fox. But yeah, that again, knowing they couldn't move was just like the room on fire and step back and watch. But that's. Yeah that's true. It's it's they smack you hard if you get close to them.
But yeah, they, they can't move. They have no bonus action. They have multiple they're multi attacks. And then the the fire, the fire. But the brain that has a range of I think it was like 30ft. So yeah it's a bit of a range. But they and there's a recharge though. They have to recharge it. Same thing with his slow.
He has to try to recharge the slow. So it's kind of like a give and take on everything. Okay. So so in two weeks we're not playing. This will be.
