Chancellor

The Chancellor in Krimeon is a very powerful figure, serving as both the head of state and the head of the military. As the head of state, the Chancellor is elected by the Prefects of each Province, which means that they have significant political power and are responsible for representing the interests of the people of Krimeon.   In their role as head of the army, the Chancellor has a wide range of responsibilities. They oversee the recruitment and training of new soldiers, as well as the deployment and coordination of troops in times of war or national emergency. Additionally, the Chancellor is responsible for setting military policy, determining strategies and tactics for battles, and ensuring that the army is well-equipped and well-supplied.   The Chancellor's authority extends to all branches of the military, including the Civilian Army, the Navy, and the Cavalry. They have the power to promote or demote officers, make decisions about resource allocation, and approve missions and campaigns. The Chancellor's role is crucial to maintaining the stability and security of Krimeon, and their decisions have far-reaching consequences for the entire empire.

Appointment

In Krimeon, the Assembly of Prefects meets to elect a new Chancellor every six years. The voting process is conducted in several rounds. In the first round, each Prefect nominates a candidate for Chancellor. A candidate must receive at least three nominations to proceed to the second round. If there are more than three candidates who meet this requirement, a preliminary vote is held to eliminate one or more candidates.   In the second round, the Prefects vote on the remaining candidates. The candidate with the fewest votes is eliminated, and the remaining candidates proceed to the third round.   In the third round, the candidate with the fewest votes is eliminated again, and the remaining candidates proceed to the fourth round.   In the fourth round, the candidate with the fewest votes is once again eliminated, and the remaining candidates proceed to the fifth and final round.   In the fifth round, the candidate with the most votes is elected as the new Chancellor. If there is a tie, the Assembly may continue to vote until a clear winner emerges.   Once the new Chancellor is elected, an appointment ceremony is held. The ceremony takes place in the capital city of Krimeon and is attended by the Assembly of Prefects, military leaders, and other dignitaries.   During the ceremony, the outgoing Chancellor delivers a farewell address, reflecting on their time in office and offering words of advice to the incoming Chancellor. The new Chancellor then takes the oath of office, pledging to uphold the values and laws of Krimeon and to faithfully execute their duties as Head of State and Head of the Army.   After taking the oath, the new Chancellor is presented with the Seal of Krimeon, a ceremonial scepter, and a ceremonial robe. The outgoing Chancellor then officially hands over the reins of power to the new Chancellor, and the ceremony concludes with a speech by the new Chancellor, outlining their vision for the future of Krimeon.

Duties

As the head of state and head of the Krimeon Civilians' Army, the Chancellor holds a significant amount of power and responsibility.
