Nontellok, Goddess of the Moon, Dark, and Cleverness

Book Smarts vs. Street Smarts

At first, you might think, "Wait, isn't there already a goddess of intelligence, Valniet herself?" You're only half right, as Valniet is the goddess of knowledge and education. This is where the cleverness, logic, and emotional intelligence come into play. She is also a Primordial, not a Calmkin. The elves were complaining about the constant sunlight, as Therro's influence of light had no opposing force to it. So, they eventually went into the dark caves where the dwarves live to not be exposed to the light. Seltor saw this was a problem, and he begged Therro to dim the Sun, but Therro refused, as that would kill the plants and animals in this world. Seltor came up with a stupid solution: he built a statue of a woman and personally flew it towards the Sun in order to block out any light. Luckily, this didn't kill all life, as the statue only passed by momentarily. The Sun's heat melted the rock, however, until divine flesh was showing beneath it. Surprised, Seltor dropped the statue into the abyss, but she grew wings at that very moment and dove right at Darkguard, pushing it until it began to spin. This way, the world would get to experience both times of sunlight and darkness. As she didn't really have a domain besides darkness, she didn't exactly have a home in the multiverse, which was controlled by the Old Gods anyway. So, she tore out a chunk from the other side of the world and threw it into the sky, where she could reside in it. She has later found a better place in the Chaotic Sea, but the Moon still circles around the world, sometimes crossing between Darkguard and the Sun like Seltor once did. Her cleverness that came into play when she spun the world around still radiates into this world, and it is said that once the intelligence of the world ends, it also stops spinning. Her main worshippers are thieves (for the darkness and cleverness aspect), adventurers (especially mages and thieves), and most people that travel in the wilderness. Her holy symbol is a crow, and that is the form she and her angels assume.

Holidays

In November, on the first full moon of the month, the Parting Tides festival is held. The actual origins and reason for the celebration are unknown, but it seems to be that the high elves came up with the idea of it. What ensues are many games, storytelling, and coming of age rituals. Peasants mainly play games like Cards and Knives, Tavern Rats, and different versions of poker. Children might play winter-themed games outside. Nobles might play chess, Knave, or Witch's Brew. Storytelling of different heroes who used their cleverness and cunning to outsmart danger are also told, and the origin of these rituals are thought to be (still speculation) that elven children used to have to go through an entire process to separate from their family and truly make a mark in the world as they leave to explore it.
Disclaimer: Yes, I know that if a planet is tidally locked and only one side at a time experiences sunlight, it will get burnt up. This is a myth that the Ashlian tribes in the area came up with to explain solar eclipses, the moon, and the day and night cycle. Don't expect scientific realism in mythology. In fact, don't expect it anywhere, as this is fantasy.
