Morrok, God of Animals and Hunting

The Hunter's Blessing

A Neutralius of nature, just like his brother. To read his creation story, see the article on Dulvir. His disposition towards his brother is actually quite friendly, even if they are practically foils to each other. Those who pray to him most are hunters(obviously), trappers, fishermen, rangers, and even wilderness guides. The concept of hunting also slightly translates to monster hunting, and it has become a tradition to pray to him for a good kill before adventurers, rangers, or other forms of monster hunters set out to slay them. His holy symbol is a crescent moon, and his messenger angels usually take on the form of red-feathered eagles. Slaying one of these creatures is a divine crime punishable by the Wild Hunt.

Holidays

At the end of October, usually from the 30th to the 31st, people bring animal sacrifices to Morrok (usually hunted game) and later adorn their hung-up hides with all manner of decorations to keep evil spirits at bay (including those of the Old Gods). This includes fangs of slain monsters, skulls, feathers, and vines. It is mostly to not endorse hunting, but rather to show how the Wild Spirit can still help civilization.

History

Though most mythology shows Morrok as an arrogant, antisocial prick (even by divine standards), he believes his true friend amongst the gods to be his brother. Though he knows it's not actually that important, he still only speaks with his brother most of the time, as he doesn't even talk with his most zealous priests. Dulvir, however, thinks that this is a really important thing that, since his brother thinks it's important, it should be honored and cherished, as he knows Morrok can get overly attached to random things sometimes.

Fun Fact: Morrok used wolves as his holy symbol and messenger angel for a while, and this was before Seltor decided on these things. Then, Seltor decided he should have a wolf as his symbol, and he claimed Morrok was stealing his idea, so Morrok reluctantly changed it.
