Ra

Ra, also called the City of the Sun, is one of the most developed cities in all of Adelan. The capital city of The Theocracy of the Sun, Ra is home to the second largest temple to Ralai. They are famed for their crops of esteemed quality, grown in land blessed by Ralai.   The walls that enclose Ra made of large, white stones that have long since been sun-bleached. Each stone has been blessed many times over by large-scale blessings by generations of clerics of Ralai. The walls around the city's main temple, in particular, all but radiate the divine energy of the sun.  

Geography

Not far from the eastern coast of Adelan, Ra is located on the southern embankment of the Solval River. The majority of the land in the immediate surroundings of Ra are plains, although there are some small rolling hills nearby. In the Solval River, there is a small eyot just down stream to the north of the city, upon which lies a lighthouse.   The only settlement any further east in Adelan is The Garden of Ralai.  

Description

Upon entering the main gates on the west of Ra, one would quickly be inundated by the clamor of the trades, as just passed the guard house lay the Trade District.
To the north, the food markets and the Paupers District.
In the center of the city are the public temple of The Order of Ralai and the mausoleum, where those without access to the main temple go to pray to Ralai.
In the south, the Guilds District was established by the various guilds present in the city of Ra.
In the east, the housing for nobles and the main temple, where the higher ranking of the Order of Ralai live.
