Murdine, The Bloody-Handed Brother
Minor God of Vengeance, Terror, Debts, and Grudges
"Enough is enough, brother. Your time as patron of our people is over. Please...don't make this any harder than it already is." "...Casting me aside, just like that? How easily you forget - which among us saw our family - our people - through The Jotunhunts? Which among us was the first to call for justice for our murdered brother? Which among us first emerged from the hearts of our people?!" "Enough, brother! Our people stand on the verge of extinction - your path is one they cannot tolerate any longer, if they hope to live. This...this was not easy for me! But your path will lead us only...only to death." "You wretched disgrace. I should have killed you in the cradle, before you could poison our father's head with your vile obscenities." "Before I could...?! You have poisoned him more than I ever could, Murdine! You are, undoubtedly, the eldest amongst us - amongst most all gods, most likely - but father's fate is squarely on your shoulders, not mine! I cautioned tolerance when our brother died - precisely because of this outcome! You've made the whole damned world blind!" "Go fuck yourself, Brom - better to make the whole world blind than live your great fucking lie. Our people think they can cast me aside so easily? They think they can live without hatred in their heart? Hmph. Fine. Make me into your neat little fucking scapegoat - lay blame at my feet for all our family's ills. It would hardly be the first time..." "Brother..." "Spare me, Brom. Just fucking spare me and for once in your godsdamned life, get off that high horse of yours and go fuck yourself. I'll be back, one day - mark my words. And when I return, it'll be when you least expect it. The ugly little black knife in your back from those you thought the most of."Titles: The Bloody-Handed, The Bloody-Handed Brother, Murdine the Mad, The Exile, The Knight of Red Sun, The Avenger, The Fearmonger, The Debtkeeper, The Grudgemaster, The Great Recordkeeper Favored Weapon: Dwarven Double Waraxe Alignment: Lawful Evil Church Moniker: Church of the Grudgemaster Obedience: Spend an hour reciting the names of each person who has wronged you that remains at large, while swearing an oath to repay them for what they've done to you. Though it long languished within Murdine's Holy Temple, The Grudge Office, for untold thousands of years as one of the greatest keepsakes of the Dwarven People, the Dwarven Book of Grudges has been spirited away into hiding by the followers of Murdine in the wake of the Bloody-Handed God's exile from what remains of The Dwarven Pantheon - an act largely driven by the few remaining dwarves who rallied together beneath Brom, The Unbroken Brother's Leadership, who broke ties with perhaps the oldest God in their Pantheon in the hopes of carving a new path for their species. Now, the Book is considered by the few surviving Dwarves to be the most wanted item in the entire world - one they would stop at absolutely nothing to acquire from the hands of Murdine's few surviving faithful and destroy forever as a symbol of their old ways. However, for now, the Book is believed to be either in the personal possession of Murdine himself or in the hands of his most trusted followers, who rely on the book's awesome and near-infinite power to sustain their never-ending wars and military campaigns with the book's mastery over grudges, hatreds, and vengeance to fuel their armies and battles, and to use the book's awesome divinatory power to find those carrying grudges or who were otherwise wronged to either draw them into their faith or carry out revenge on their behalf.

Tenets of Faith
An eye for an eye. Suffering spread must be met with suffering in kind - bleed the guilty without mercy until their price is paid.
Shred their sinful souls. Strike terror into the guilty and let them fester in fear - the greater the terror, the greater the justice for their victims.
Never Forget, Never Forgive. Never forgive or forget a wrong or slight done upon another, and never allow a grudge to go unfulfilled or a debt unpaid.
No rushed repayment. Keep records of your wrath, and never rush into revenge - lay your plans methodically and your vengeance slowly until agony is their only truth.
