Brom, The Unbroken Brother
Minor God of Strategy, Bravery, Fortification, and Honor
"Yield, mutt. I am Nicodema - Lady Victory. You have no hope of victory against Victory herself - yet still you insist on this...elaborate suicide plot. You think those you protect will thank you? You defend giants and traitors - what good can come of defending those who would skewer you if given the chance, against one you cannot hope to beat?" "Heheh..." "Mind telling me what's so funny, beast?" "Just...satisfaction, is all. It's good to finally find a flaw in that perfect façade of yours." "...Excuse me? You dare claim there lies a flaw in Victory? Your armor and weapons lay shattered, and one blow from my blade will cleave your miserable head from your shoulders - and you dare speak of flaws? Of amusement? As if you were somehow the winner here, in our bout?" "There it is again - Victory's ugly nature, laid bare for us all to see. You cannot possibly imagine a Victory that does not include winning - your repulsive nature will not allow it. And that flaw is what has allowed me to claim victory here, this day - with the help of those who so bravely fought you until my arrival." "You dare-" "Just as you are Lady Victory, I am the Dutiful Defender. I am the walls which guard - the line in the sand which can never be crossed. The rampart which stands taller than any other, Vigilant Warden of the Walls of Paradise. Behind me, safety - beyond me, obliteration. That is my nature - as sure as victory is yours." "Silence! Enough of-" "And here, on this killing field, I have already won - for in denying you your perfect Victory, I have already snatched your precious victory from you. While you chased me and beat me down, those you came to slay have already fled. In matching me blow for ruinous blow, your surprise attack has failed! The Divine Gate has fallen, and with it the end of your schemes. Today is the day-" "ENOUGH! I-" "-that the mighty Lady Victory crashed against the walls of paradise, and was thoroughly repulsed. Driven back like the craven, ugly wretch she is and exposed for all the world to see!" "GNnNNn...you miserable little cretin...! You would dare...even for those such as them?!" "Therein lies your fatal flaw, Nicodema - all beings, fundamentally, are worthy of entry into paradise. There is no being who is not deserving of shelter behind my unbreakable ramparts - who does not deserve to have another fight and bleed on their behalf! Be they giants, be they humans...I bleed for them all the same! Now - strike me down, you craven wretch! Show the whole world Lady Victory's ugly tantrum in defeat!"Titles: The Unbroken Brother, The Dutiful Defender, Last of the Mountain Lords, The Lonely Watchman, The Final Hero of Helbadihr, The Great Ghost of the Ramparts, General Stoneghost Favored Weapon: Heavy Steel Shield(Shield Bash), Dwarven Waraxe Alignment: Lawful Good Church Moniker: Church of the Unbroken Brother Obedience: Spend an hour digging trenches, constructing earthwork walls, or otherwise fortifying your current location against attack in whatever ways you can and which best suit the location you are in. Write out plans for scenarios of attack and how you would defend it should the worst of these scenarios come to pass during this hour. Once the hour is up, tear the plans you wrote into strips and seal them to your armor(Or clothes, if you wear no armor) with wax seals. Obedience Effect: As a move action, you can let out a thunderous shout of heroism by invoking the divine power of The Unbroken Brother to ward your surroundings - when this ability is used, you may choose a number of squares equal to 4 + 1/2 your HD to reinforce with 10ft tall reinforced stone walls with crenellated battlements atop that otherwise function as walls of stone. When you form these walls, creatures in squares that the walls form may choose to rise to the top of the battlements without harm or injury, or harmless move into an adjacent empty square. You may choose to create archways in these walls to allow movement through or not, at your discretion when forming them. These walls last for 1 minute or until destroyed, after which they harmlessly sink back into the ground and vanish.

Artifacts
Though he once held a great many artifacts in the times before the Age of Godsfall during the Golden Ages of The Dwarven Pantheon, Brom has all but lost his once glorious luster - meaning all of his old artifacts were not merely lost, but destroyed during the chaos of the Age of Godsfall...largely by Nicodema and her followers out of spite for Brom's defiant battle against her during the Age's outset. However, all is not completely lost - for rumors abound even into the modern day of a new artifact slowly emerging onto the world stage: the Mountain City of Kalas Gholim itself, one of the three Dwarven Mountain Citadels built in the highest reaches of The Barrier Peaks Mountain Range untold eons ago. This ancient city, now the last Dwarven Mountain Citadel on the continents of Corexus and Inara that remains in the hands of the Dwarves, has been slowly fortified by Brom during the chaos of the Age of Godsfall until it now stands as an artifact all by itself - an entire mountain fortress-city, reinforced over decades by the mighty hand of Brom himself...

Tenets of Faith
I shall never be caught unprepared. I shall give real thought to every scenario no matter how unlikely, that I may never be caught unawares.
I shall never lose myself to anger or recklessness. If danger be my destiny, I shall meet it with bravery and boldness tempered by a cool head.
Never shall I betray my oaths or promises. My obligations and my word shall be as my very soul, and I shall never break or bend them until my dying day.
I shall never allow any creature to die in vain. If blood is to be shed, let those who do so take comfort in the fact it is for a reason or cause worth their sacrifice.
I shall stand in defense of what is right and never allow myself to be silenced or changed for my beliefs by those who oppose them - nor shall I stand idly by while those values are tarnished by the unjust.
Never shall I step aside or alter my course if doing so would place another behind me in harm's way. I shall weather any storm or face any foe, even if death is my assured reward, if those at my back shall know peace because of my sacrifice.
Holidays
Brom has no universal, codified holidays on specific dates - however, his followers tend to use conflicting accounts of the dates of the deaths of other deities in The Dwarven Pantheon during the Age of Godsfall and shortly before to hold vigils during those days as "holidays" of rest and remembrance.
