Brokkr, The Lord of Labor
Minor God of Training, Labor, Crafts, and Pluck
"Step aside, you infurating cretin." "...still won't call me by name? I expected better from you, mother...still, I won't let you kill him." "Oh, of all the - he served his purpose! Didn't even have the decency to die doing it, either. He's a slave who exhausted his usefulness!" "I'm not convinced. He - your son - fought three gods, today. For you. And well, he nearly won." "So he did - who cares? Win or not, he's no longer of use to me! Now, step as - grk!" "Careful, now - that was a glancing blow, mother. Take another step, and my spear will slice much more than your cheek." "Gnn...pesky brat. You're taking the moral high road for a slave. You're grandstanding for a half-dead mutt!" "No. I'm grandstanding for my brother - and i'm proud to call him such. May your soul shine half as bright as his did, today - we would all be better for it." "Oh, spare me...gods, you're just as meddlesome as ever. Fine, the mutt can live. Who taught you all this moralist drivel?" "...my mother did. Though I'm beginning to suspect she perished long, long ago."Titles: Prince of the Varg, The Lord of Labor, The Waiting Hound, Lord Twice-Kill, The Chained Wolf, The Unchained Thane, Freyja's Champion, Lord of the Pick and Shovel Freyja's Champion, Thane of Freyja, The Giant that Waits, Prince of the Vargr, The Lord of Labor Favored Weapon: Bastard Sword Alignment: Neutral Evil Church Moniker: Church of the Unchained Thane Obedience: Spend an hour working a physically demanding labor or task(Performing manual labor if nothing notable is available nearby) while bleeding from your forearms. Ideally, this bleeding should stem from your own hand carving the symbol of Brokkr upon it, though normal cuts will also suffice. Once the hour is up, daub your fingers in the pooled blood and mark your face with it to show your fury. Obedience Effect: Your body takes on the properties of one metallic special material and grants your attacks the ability to be treated as that metal for the purposes of overcoming DR. Additionally, you gain that metal's armor effects(If it possesses any) as if you were wearing medium armor made of that material. Finally, by spending one full round gorging yourself on the body of a freshly slain creature killed by your hand in battle in the past round, you can clear one negative condition or charm/compulsion effect affecting you automatically.

Artifacts
Though Brokkr is a relatively new deity and thus largely devoid of artifacts, he is rumored to have undergone a spiritual transformation during the opening hours of the Age of Troubles - where, during his battles with Nicodema, Lady Victory and Brom, The Dutiful Defender, he is said to have inherited the "Berserker Rage" once possessed by Odin, The Lord of the Hanged and gained it as a blessing from the long-dead lord of The Giant Pantheon.
This blessing, now, is said to manifest around Brokkr's mightiest and most loyal followers in the heat of battle-lust - protecting them against death from their wounds until their slay their foe or their body is atomized.

Tenets of Faith
Glory to the Worker. A man is entitled to the sweat of his brow, above all else.
Teach those who will succeed you. Teach and train your juniors of your ways and wisdom, that they might avoid your mistakes. Wisdom taken to the grave is wisdom wasted.
Impart Lessons, not Weakness. The best lessons are those learned firsthand - either through pain or practice. Never give freely that which could be used to teach first.
Become the bloody hound of war. If there is a battle, seek it. If there is a war, delight in it. If there is neither, find it - or make it. Through blood, you prove your worth.
War alone makes one weak. Your hands were meant for more than slaughter - find a craft beyond the battlefield which brings you joy, and practice it. Teach its joys to others, and seek to master it.
Leave the world better than you entered it. Fight and Toil not for the world in which you live, but for the world that your children shall inherit - fight for it with all your life, and stand against selfishness at the expense of the future.
