Collegic League of Arcane Arts
Structure
The position of any given person in the collegic league is an intersection of their embeddedness and responsebility for the maintaining of the organization and their proven arcane ability. Ability is rated on a scale of 1-10 "stars" based on their ability to cast adjacent-level spells. A 10th star is often given after a mastery of these spells and a substantial contribution to the understanding of the arcane either in terms of service or innovation. While raw ability is often a component of ones acumen, their position or title is often a better indicator of their role and even ability. In ascending order, the titles available within the Collegic League are Prospect, Initiate, Student, Scholar, Prefect, Retainer, Professor, Master, Grandmaster, Elder, and Grand Elder. While the progression is mostly linear, members of the collegiac league may be demoted for disciplinary or even politcal reasons.
Public Agenda
The forefront of the Collegic league is education. By producing more mages and circulating the study of magic, this organization is able to grow and sustain itself. A lack of bespoke centralization means the organization is less progressive and more service-oriented
Assets
Most, if not all Collegic buildings are large repositories of knowlege while not to long ago there were discussions of a great merge of knowlege, this notion has since died down and faded from the forefront of magical acadamia.
History
While members of the Collegiac League have had many a hand in world events, the League itself is much more insular in its progression and advancements often come in esoteric locales or ideas and thus tend to effect very few people. It was founding During the The Settling Wars as a counter to the sorcerical arms race of the fundamentalist mages during this period and lead to the dissolution of uncentralized magic practice.
The power of knowledge is to know all other strength.
